Charlotte Catholics Share Their Grief Over Bishop’s ‘Almost Abusive’ Removal Of Altar Rails!!

Are you telling me that Leo doesn't know about Martin's attempt to stomp out the traditional Latin Mass and the removal of altar rails and kneelers?

Bergoglio appointed "bishop" Martin, and Leo surely knows of his spiritually abusive tactics towards the faithful parishioners?

Is there that outside possibility that he doesn't know?

And if he does know, then why is he letting him get away with this abuse?

He should, after all, being from Chicago, you know, the home of Cupich -- the other hater of Tradition!

The following article is from lifesitenews.com, written by Emily Mangiaracina Wed Jan 21, 2026 - 5:57 pm EST: Charlotte Catholics share their grief over bishop's 'almost abusive' removal of altar rails - LifeSite.

"CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (LifeSiteNews) — Catholics in the Diocese of Charlotte have opened up about the hurt and tension caused by Bishop Michael Martin’s command to remove altar rails and kneelers that took effect on Friday.

St. Thomas Aquinas Parish parishioner Aloonsri Montgomery described the directive to The Catholic Herald as “almost abusive in the spiritual sense, as I am trying to say to my bishop this hurts us. Spiritually, in my soul, what you’re doing is hurting me.” She noted that diocese responses to laity concerns over the bishop’s orders are “nonexistent.”

Martin ordered in December that churches remove all “temporary or movable fixtures used for kneeling” for Holy Communion by January 16 in accordance with the bishop’s antagonism toward traditional liturgical practices. Last year, he enacted sweeping bans on the traditional Mass, and also saw a draft instruction leaked in which he condemned the use of Latin and priests praying before and after Mass, along with kneeling for Holy Communion.

A considerable number of pastors have taken issue with the decision, with 30 priests having gone so far as to question the Vatican regarding Martin’s ban on the use of altar rails and kneelers, as well as his leaked letter condemning other traditional practices.

Some pastors are reportedly awaiting a response to their dubia from the Vatican before removing movable kneelers. The dubia notes that the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM) states that the sanctuary “should be appropriately marked off from the body of the church either by its being somewhat elevated or by a particular structure and ornamentation,” (GIRM 295) typically an altar rail.

LifeSiteNews has independently confirmed that, so far, an altar rail at St. Mark’s donated by a family there in honor of their late son has been removed, causing them such grief that they cried throughout Sunday’s Mass there.

According to Jason Murphy, co-founder and leader of the Catholic Men’s Conference of the Carolinas, the ban on the use of altar rails has a concrete impact on the reverence given toward Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

When altar rails were restored under Father Christopher Roux, the rector, at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Charlotte, “people started to give more reverence to the Blessed Sacrament,” Murphy said. “You just noticed that even people who might not typically kneel would still receive on the tongue.” He explained this was because of the principle of lex orandi, lex credendi:“The way you pray is the way you believe.” Without rails, “most people aren’t going to kneel” because of “herd mentality,” he added.

Murphy further lamented that over 30 priests felt forced to submit dubia to the Vatican over the situation. “I think that overall, it was really a sense of sadness that it had to be escalated to that, because several priests met with him individually and as small groups, especially the ones who were celebrating the Latin Mass,” he said.

Bredon Kimel, a former Marine and current airline pilot who now attends St. Thomas Aquinas, condemned Martin’s decision to ban altar rails as unfounded and even illegitimate.

“To me, altar rails evoke reverence, beauty and tradition. Reverence because of the kneeling and the separation of the sanctuary, beauty because of the aesthetic, and tradition because this is how it’s been done for ages,” Kimel told The Catholic Herald.  “I’ve heard no good or even coherent reasons for discontinuing it.”

“The fact that so many parishes in his diocese are strongly traditional, and that many of the laity find in it a source of spiritual foundation and zeal, from which so many vocations have come, shows what kind of zealot he is that he would seek to ban immediately the things so many have come to rely upon in their spiritual life. This is not a legitimate use of his authority,” he concluded.

Dominican Fr. Pius Pietrzyk, a canon lawyer in Washington, D.C., agrees. “When the Mass gives options, the universal authority has vested those options not in the bishop but in the priest celebrant,” he told the National Catholic Register, adding that the document “lacks some of the indicia one would normally expect of a legislative act.” He believes Martin’s order is an expression of the bishop’s personal preference rather than a legitimate exercise of authority.

An anonymous woman who attends St Ann’s told the Register, “As someone who cannot kneel without the assistance of the rail, it was very upsetting.” She pointed out that she has fallen before trying to kneel to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist.

She described Martin’s actions as “retaliatory and divisive from the beginning,” alleging that priests and employees are “scared to death,” that tithing has declined, and that the pain inflicted by his actions “may be irreversible without reparation.”

One anonymous diocesan staff member who “prefers the Novus Ordo,” according to the Register, rebuked Martin’s order as “a grave offense against charity and justice.”

The staffer maintained that removing “acceptable aids for allowing people to receive the way that they wish to receive” is “contrary to justice” and “contrary to charity.”

The bishop has fostered confusion and tension on top of it all, according to the staffer, who said the atmosphere in the diocese “is like walking on eggshells in your own home.” Turnover has ratcheted up, with “people jumping ship left and right.”

“We are growing more and more anxious by the minute at times,” the staffer said, especially after assurances “not to change things that we love, that we have a right to per either the rubrics or the laws of the Church” have been violated.

Joshua Anderson, a former parishioner of the Diocese of Charlotte and Catholic convert from Presbyterianism, said Martin’s orders have led him to feel “saddened and enraged at alternate times,” and even “a sense of betrayal.”

Liturgist Dr. Peter Kwasniewski recently affirmed that “even according to the rules that govern the Novus Ordo, there is absolutely no basis for a bishop to oppose the use or the construction of altar rails in churches.” He shared a catechesis on altar rails showing that they “have a basis in the historical and theological dimensions of the Mass, and may be utilized and even promoted, in light of recent legislation.”

Most important, Scripture itself highlights bending of the knee as a gesture of reverence proper to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

“That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth,” St. Paul wrote in the Letter to the Philippians (2:10)."'

Priest Defends Inviting Pro-LGBT ["]Fr.["] James Martin To Speak At Parish About Memoir!

 WHY?

Martin is a heretic!

He has automatically excommunicated himself from the Catholic Church, yet he is in "good standing" and continues to spread his filth across the U.S. and abroad...

He recently met with Prevost, but there was no condemnation or call to conversion; it was a happy, approving meeting.

WHY?

The same Martin was a favorite of Bergoglio...

What we are witnessing is a novus ordo, synodal church totally infiltrated and run by far too many perverts who hate Tradition and the perennial teachings of the real Catholic Church on sexual morality!

Here is an article from lifesitenews.com, written by Antonino Cambria

Death By Firing Squad! **Media Blackout**

HORROR: Three Midwest Tourists Vacationing in Florida Stalked and Gunned Down by Ahmad Jihad Bojeh

Notice this murderer's name?

And that's why there's a media blackout...

Now, if the three innocent men were black, and the killer was white, there would be a media feeding frenzy, not only because the men were black, but also because of a further attack on the Second Amendment!

The Marxist communists in the media are so corrupt and anti-American that they cannot resist condemning both the shooter and the right to bear arms.

BUT NOT IN THIS CASE!

Because the maniac had that "special" last name, the media is silent...

**Media Blackout**

"Three Midwestern men who were vacationing in Florida were gunned down by a man named Ahmad Jihad Bojeh on Saturday.

Bojeh was previously arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, but he was acquitted after an insanity plea, Fox 35 Orlando reported.

The victims, Robert Luis Kraft, 69, his brother, Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, and their friend James Puchan, 68, were on a guys’ trip attending a car show in Kissimmee over the weekend when Bojeh murdered them.

According to reports, the three men were waiting for help after troubles with a rental car when Ahmad Jihad Bojeh approached them and fatally shot them.

“There were no known interactions between the men and this individual prior to the event; they were then approached and senselessly murdered. This was a random, tragic act,” the Kraft brothers and Puchan’s family said.

“These three wonderful men did not deserve this. Our families are left with an unexpected, unimaginable loss that cannot be put into words,” the family said.

“We ask for privacy, prayers, and respect as we mourn and begin to process this tragedy,” the family said in a joint statement.

Fox News reported:

Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, 29, was arrested in connection with the murders of three men who were staying at a property next door to his home in Kissimmee, Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon told reporters Sunday.

“It was cold-blooded, it was premeditated, there was absolutely no issues,” Blackmon said. “There was no conflict between these people. This was just random. And this happened to be the person who lived next door.”

Deputies responded around 12:13 p.m. Saturday to a shooting at a subdivision near Kissimmee and discovered the bodies of three adult males in front of the rental home. All three men suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

Blackmon said the three victims were stuck at the rental home after having vehicle trouble and had extended their stay for one day to wait for service.

Two of the victims have been identified as Robert Luis Kraft, 69, of Holland, Michigan, and his brother Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, of Columbus, Ohio, the sheriff said. The third victim was identified as James Puchan, 68, a friend from Ohio, FOX35 Orlando reported."

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! Pope Leo XIV Invokes Leo XIII As Early Champion Of Ecumenism!!

 Has he no shame?

This is truly outrageous!

As Bergoglio co-opted St. Francis of Assisi's treatment of God's creatures, including the environment -- and yes, the environment can be considered a creature and a source of idolatry! -- so is Prevost co-opting of the great Pope Leo XIII's take on true ecumenism, twisting the push for "dialogue" with our "separated brethren" instead of the call for conversion to the Catholic Church? -- Outside of which, there is no salvation!

I will post an article from lifesitenews.com, written by Gaetano Masciullo

“Today begins the Week of Prayer for the Unity of Christians,” Leo XIV declared, adding that “the origins of this initiative go back two centuries, and Pope Leo XIII encouraged it greatly,” before inviting Catholic communities to intensify prayer “for the full visible unity of all Christians.”

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins annually on January 18. The theme for this year is taken from Ephesians 4:4: “One body and one Spirit, as one is the hope to which you were called.” The accompanying prayers and reflections prepared for the week have been coordinated by an ecumenical group under the Department for Interreligious Relations of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The Pope’s reference to Leo XIII places the late 19th century pontiff within the historical narrative of prayer initiatives for Christian unity. Leo XIII, who reigned from 1878 to 1903, repeatedly encouraged prayers for unity and addressed the question of divisions among Christians in several major magisterial documents.

However, the intentions expressed by Leo XIII in his official teaching differed in emphasis from contemporary ecumenical approaches. In the encyclical Satis Cognitum about the unity of the Church, promulgated on June 29, 1896, Leo XIII taught that such unity is visible, grounded in shared faith, the sacraments, and governance. The document explicitly rejected the idea of an invisible or merely spiritual Church and affirmed that full unity requires adherence to the authority established by Christ.

In Satis Cognitum, Leo XIII wrote also that those who accept only parts of Christian doctrine according to personal preference “do not rely on faith, but on their own judgment,” insisting that authentic unity cannot be separated from the integrity of revealed doctrine. The encyclical presented the unity of the Church as inseparable from obedience to Christ and from communion with the See of Peter.

A similar missionary orientation appears in the apostolic letter Caritatis Studium, issued on July 25, 1898. In that document, Leo XIII addressed Anglicans directly, inviting them to reconciliation with Rome. He urged them to recognize the primacy of Peter and to acknowledge what he described as the orthodoxy of Catholic doctrine, while rejecting Protestant theological positions that had emerged after the Reformation. The letter framed unity as a return of separated Christians to full communion with the Catholic Church.

He wrote that his “ardent charity” for Christians outside Catholic communion compelled him “to bring back to the embrace of the Good Shepherd those whom manifold error causes to stand aloof from the one Fold of Christ,” explicitly describing separation as the result of doctrinal error.

Leo XIII further stated that he was “constantly imploring” Christians separated from the Church “to agree at last to restore together with Us the communion of the one and the same faith,” presenting unity as the recovery of a shared faith in communion with Rome. This understanding was inseparable from Leo XIII’s teaching on ecclesial authority, since, as he affirmed, “the supreme teaching authority was committed to one, on whom, as on its foundation, the Church must rest,” referring to the primacy given by Christ to St. Peter.

By contrast, Pope Leo XIV’s recent magisterial teaching situates unity within a contemporary ecumenical framework. In the apostolic letter In Unitate Fidei, issued in November 23, 2025, Leo XIV addressed the pursuit of Christian unity in the context of dialogue between Churches and ecclesial communities.

Pope Leo XIV presents an understanding of Christian unity that differs in approach from that articulated by Leo XIII at the end of the nineteenth century. While grounding ecumenical efforts in the shared profession of the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, Leo XIV states that contemporary unity “does not imply an ecumenism that attempts to return to the state prior to the divisions,” explicitly distancing present initiatives from a model of reunion based on return. Instead, he describes an ecumenism that “looks to the future” and “seeks reconciliation through dialogue as we share our gifts and spiritual heritage.”

Within this framework, the Nicene Creed is proposed as “the basis and reference point” for the journey toward unity, offering “a model of true unity in legitimate diversity.” The Pope further calls on Christians to “leave behind theological controversies that have lost their raison d’être”, presumably like the Filioque controversy, in order to develop “a common understanding and even more, a common prayer to the Holy Spirit.”

Finally, Leo XIV notes that ecumenical dialogue has already led Christians “to recognize the members of other Churches and ecclesial communities as our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,” affirming that, despite the absence of full visible unity, “what unites us is much greater than what divides us.”

Schism Fears Arise As Catholic Church In Germany Aims To Put Laity On ‘Same Level’ As Bishops!!

The heretics in Germany -- that's the German hierarchy! -- are stoking fears of schism, "as the "Catholic Church" aims to put laity on the same level as bishops!"'

I contend that the German bishops are already in schism and have been for many years, defying church teaching on homosexuality, family, women priests, and morals in general.

I don't know what these characters are, but they are not Catholic!

(By the way, have you ever -- and I mean ever -- heard the German hierarchy speak of the salvation of souls?

If you have, please let me know.)

From lifesitenews.com and written by Doug Mainwaring Sat Jan 17, 2026 - 11:47 am EST, comes this: Schism fears arise as Catholic Church in Germany aims to put laity on 'same level' as bishops - LifeSite

"(LifeSiteNews) — As Pope Leo XIV meets with his Apostolic Nuncio for Germany, Monsignor Nikola Eterovic, on Saturday, the very real possibility of schism with the Catholic Church in Germany looms.

“It’s alleged the German Church wants to put the German laity on the same level as the bishops and also let them control the cash,” according to a report in the Italian language publication Il Giornale by Nico Spuntoni.

 Spuntoni explains:

This is a project, already approved by the powerful Central Committee of German Catholics, that will create a permanent body in which laypeople will be on an equal footing with bishops. This Synodal Conference will have decision-making power and be able to introduce changes to doctrine by majority vote, forcing those who disagree to provide a public justification. In addition, the Conference will take control of the financial resources of the extremely wealthy German Church.

The Holy See’s concern over what many interpret as a trajectory toward schism extends far beyond Germany’s national boundaries.

Spuntoni suggests that the German Church would like to trigger a contagion that would spread through the rest of the Roman Catholic Church.

An unpublished document shows that in 2021, Benedict XVI contacted Cardinal Reinhard Marx, then-head of the German Bishops’ Conference and chief proponent of Germany’s “Synodal Way,” to express his “great concern” about the synodal process in Germany.

“Vatican sources confirm that in recent years Ratzinger was very skeptical about the direction taken by the German Church and was convinced that ‘this path will do harm and end badly if it is not stopped,’” wrote Spuntoni. “Marx ignored the appeal of the Pope Emeritus.”

“Now it is Leo XIV’s turn,” said the Il Giornale author, who noted that the Pope may turn to Cardinal Mario Grech’s report to the consistory, which stated that “it is always up to the bishop of Rome to suspend the synodal process if necessary.”

“Prevost shares Benedict XVI’s concerns,” said Spuntoni, who warned that if Pope Leo “lacks the strength to say no to the Synodal Conference project, there is a risk that the German avalanche could become a schism for the universal Church.”

The Synodal Way is a heterodox reform project launched by the German Bishops’ Conference and the Central Committee of German Catholics in December 2019.

By 2023, an overwhelming majority of the members of the Synodal Way, including more than two-thirds of the German bishops, voted in favor of heretical documents calling for women deacons“blessings” of same-sex unions and even “transgender” priests in a text replete with gender ideology.

Cardinal Gerhard Müller, former head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), blasted the heretical German Synodal Way at the time, saying it was worse than schism and calling it a variant of “materialistic and nihilistic woke culture” that has abandoned “the very essence of Christianity.”

Müller explained in an interview with the conservative German magazine Tichys Einblicke that while the schismatic Orthodox Church kept its focus on Christ, the Synodal Way in Germany has abandoned “the very essence of Christianity … in favor of its transformation into a variant of the materialistic and nihilistic woke culture of man’s self-redemption and self-creation.”

“Instead of the word of God in Holy Scripture and Church Tradition, one refers to the ‘authorities’ like Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, Helmut Kentler, or Yuval Harari,” Müller continued.

The German cardinal furthermore said that “woke culture,” which is also represented in the Synodal Way, leads humanity further down the path of self-destruction. At the root of this problem Müller identifies a “wrong anthropology which makes the marriage of man and woman an arbitrary variant of self-centered libido.”

Proponents of the German “Synodal Way” are “propagandists of a secularized church that has distanced itself from Christ, who want to cast out the violations of the natural and revealed anthropology and sexual morality by destroying it,” wrote Cardinal Müller in a LifeSiteNews essay in 2022.

“The main goal of the whole campaign is the preservation of Christianity as the civil religion of the secular state and of the largely religiously agnostic and indifferent society as a whole,” said Müller. “Therefore, one offers itself to the ‘modern world’ – whatever that is supposed to be – as a socio-psychologically useful religious and social service organization.”

“One pretends that the Church was not founded by God to be the sacrament of salvation for the world in Christ (Lumen gentium 1; 48; Gaudium et spes 45), that it therefore in no way has to legitimize itself before atheists in regard to its expediency for the welfare state or an earthly paradise of socialist (Red Chinese model of society) and capitalist character (Great Reset by 2030),” declared the faithful German cardinal.
