Kentucky parish tells homosexual 'couples' to contact priest for a 'blessing' - LifeSite (lifesitenews.com)

"LEXINGTON, Kentucky (LifeSiteNews) — A pro-LGBT parish in Lexington is telling homosexual “couples” to contact the parish pastor if they want to receive a “blessing.”

Historic St. Paul Church states on the “LGBTQ+ MINISTRY & FORTUNATE FAMILIES” section of its website, “Same-sex couples who would like a blessing, please contact Father Richard.”

The website also features a highly blasphemous so-called “Prayer to Our Mother of Pride,” accompanied by a poster depicting the Mother of God wrapped in a rainbow-colored coat holding a child, likely a depiction of Jesus Christ.

The Catholic Church infallibly condemns all homosexual activity as mortally sinful and “intrinsically disordered,” as well as a sin that “cries to heaven for vengeance,” and denounces homosexual tendencies as “objectively disordered.”

As LifeSiteNews previously reported, the Diocese of Lexington, headed by heterodox Bishop John Stowe, one of the most pro-LGBT bishops in the U.S., repeatedly referred to a woman who calls herself a man and lives as a “diocesan hermit” as a man named “Brother Christian Matson.”

Fr. Richard Watson, the parish priest of Historic St. Paul Church, is also known for his pro-LGBT heterodoxy. Shortly after the publication of the Vatican’s heterodox declaration Fiducia Supplicans on homosexual “blessings,” Watson hosted and publicized a “blessing” of two women who were civilly “married” for 22 years while wearing an LGBT rainbow stole. In 2022, Watson hosted a “Service of Atonement and Apology to the LGBTQ+ Community” in his parish.

A report by CatholicVote points out that scheduled homosexual “blessings” technically violate instructions in Fiducia Supplicans, which states that such “blessings” should be “spontaneous.” However, as Catholic journalist Michael Matt noted during the first same-sex “blessing” held in the parish in Lexington early in the year, “These are the optics they must have known would be populating around the internet as soon as the ink was dry on the papal signature. Out and proud in the sanctuary.”

Catholic philosopher Edward Feser made a similar point, insinuating that these “abuses” may have been the actual intended message of Fiducia Supplicans. “What was the actual intended message of Fiducia Supplicans?” Feser asked. “What is really going on in the minds of those who defend it?” 

“One way to help determine this will be to compare responses to criticism of the Declaration with responses to abuses of the Declaration, such as this.”

In December 2023, Francis approved the heterodox document Fiducia Supplicans authored by Cardinal Victor Fernández, head of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. Because it endorses the “blessing” of homosexual “couples,” it has drawn condemnations from bishops around the world, including Cardinal Gerhard Müller, Cardinal Robert Sarah, and the majority of the African bishops.

As Cardinal Gerhard Müller, the former prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, has noted, “blessing” a homosexual “couple” necessarily approves their relationship, in contradiction to Catholic teaching. “Indeed, if one blesses the couple qua couple, that is, as united by a sexual relationship other than marriage, then one is approving that union, since it is the union that constitutes them as such a couple,” he wrote.

Other prominent prelates, theologians, and canon lawyers have made similar statements, such as Cardinal Joseph Zen and Father Gerald Murray.

As I write this missive, there are congressional hearings investigating the doctor of death, Fauci, and his -- lying! -- involvement in the "covid pandemic" foisted upon a gullible and compliant American public.  

As we now know, this "pandemic" was a test by the tyrants to see just how much John Q. Public would swallow, in other words, give up their God-given rights all in the name of "safety" and "security".

"Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Monday the United States could face “fatal consequences” for allowing Ukraine to use American weapons to strike targets on Russian soil.

Ryabkov was responding to statements from U.S. officials on Friday that ["]President["] Joe Biden reportedly granted Ukraine permission to hit targets in Russia with weapons provided by the United States under certain situations. More specifically, the Ukrainians were cleared to hit positions in Russia launching devastating artillery and missile attacks against the border city of Kharkiv.

Germany also gave Ukraine permission on Friday to use its weapons against Russian targets to defend Kharkiv. The Netherlands, Finland, and Poland expressed support for allowing Ukraine to defend itself against attacks launched from Russian territory, as did NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

“I would like to warn American leaders against miscalculations that could have fatal consequences. For unknown reasons, they underestimate the seriousness of the rebuff they may receive,” Ryabkov said in response on Monday, as quoted by Russian state media.

Ryabkov contemptuously advised U.S. officials to “spend some of their time – which they apparently spend on some kind of video games, judging by the lightness of their approach – on studying what was said in detail by Putin.”

Ryabkov said Russian leader Vladimir Putin has issued “a very significant warning, and it must be taken with the utmost seriousness.”

Putin said last Tuesday that the “constant escalation” of Western nations supporting Ukraine, culminating in them allowing Ukraine to use their weapons against targets in Russia, could “lead to serious consequences.”

“If these serious consequences occur in Europe, how will the United States behave, bearing in mind our parity in the field of strategic weapons? It’s hard to say. Do they want a global conflict?” Putin asked rhetorically.

To make sure no one missed the heavy insinuations that he was talking about launching a nuclear war, Putin added that European countries with “small territory and dense populations” should be especially careful about provoking Russia.

Ryabkov said on Monday that Ukrainian forces have attacked Russian early-warning radar systems, and the response from Moscow could be “asymmetrical.”

“This is not the first time that the regime in Kyiv has tried to disrupt the normal functioning of important parts of our military organization, in particular those related to the strategic sphere. These intentions will be stopped by us. Responses may be asymmetrical,” he said.

Russian Defense Ministry officials and military bloggers claimed on Monday that Ukraine fired a U.S.-made M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) at targets in Belgorod, a Russian city about 25 miles north of the Ukrainian border. The governor of the Belgorod region said two city officials were killed in the bombardment and three others were injured, along with six civilians.

Ukrainian media also said on Monday that a HIMARS was fired into Belgorod but the target was a Russian S-300/400 air defense system.

A post on Telegram by a group of Russian independent journalists called ASTRA said a Russian Defense Ministry base in the Korocha district of Belgorod was “attacked” and “several pieces of military equipment burned down.

“While the fire was extinguished, a projectile detonated, leading to the death of the secretary of the district’s security council, Igor Nechiporenko, and the wounding of the head of the district administration and three servicemen of the Russian Defense Ministry,” ASTRA said, a report that agreed with the Belgorod governor’s comment about the death of city officials in the attack.'

"Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has admitted that some of the most stringent COVID-19 guidelines, including social distancing and child masking, were not rooted in concrete scientific evidence.

This admission came during a comprehensive interview with the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic earlier this year, details of which were released ahead of Dr. Fauci’s scheduled testimony on Monday.

According to a transcript released by Republicans, during the January interviews, Dr. Fauci disclosed that the widely enforced “6 feet apart” social distancing guideline “sort of just appeared” and was not based on any data.

This guideline had significant repercussions, leading to the closure of schools and small businesses nationwide. Ironically, however, Fauci permitted the George Floyd protests and riots to wreak havoc across the country.

Below is Dr. Fauci’s transcribed interview via the COVID Select Subcommittee:

SOCIAL DISTANCING: The “6 feet apart” social distancing recommendation forced on Americans by federal health officials was arbitrary and not based on science.

Majority Counsel: “Do you recall when discussions regarding, kind of, the at least a 6 foot threshold began?”
Dr. Fauci: “The 6 foot in the school?”
Majority Counsel: “Six foot overall.  I mean, 6-foot was applied at businesses—”
Dr. Fauci: “Yeah.”
Majority Counsel: “—it was applied in schools, it was applied here.  At least how the messaging was applied was that 6-foot distancing was the distance that needed to be—“
Dr. Fauci: “You know, I don’t recall.  It sort of just appeared.  I don’t recall, like, a discussion of whether it should be 5 or 6 or whatever.  It was just that 6 foot is—”
Majority Counsel: “Did you see any studies that supported 6 feet?”
Dr. Fauci: “I was not aware of studies that in fact, that would be a very difficult study to do.”

Francis Collins, the former director of the National Insitute of Health, admitted in a closed-door interview earlier this year that he did not see any scientific evidence that social distancing was a proven method of containing the virus.

The controversy extends beyond social distancing. During the pandemic, Americans were subjected to strict mask mandates, with penalties imposed on those who did not comply. These mandates covered everyone – from adults entering businesses to children in schools. Now, it appears these directives were also issued without a solid foundation in science.

When questioned about the evidence supporting the masking of children, Dr. Fauci’s memory was unclear.

MASKING: Dr. Fauci testified that he did not recall any supporting evidence for masking children. Concerningly, mask-wearing has been associated with learning loss and severe speech development issues in America’s children.

Majority Counsel: “Do you recall reviewing any studies or data supporting masking for children?”
Dr. Fauci: “You know, I might have, Mitch, but I don’t recall specifically that I did. I might have.”
Majority Counsel: “Since the — there’s been a lot of studies that have come out since the pandemic started, but specifically on this there have been significant on kind of like the learning loss and speech and development issues that have been associated with particularly young children wearing masks while they’re growing up. They can’t see their teacher talk and can’t learn how to form words. Have you followed any of those studies?”
Dr. Fauci: “No. But I believe that there are a lot of conflicting studies too, that there are those that say, yes, there is an impact, and there are those that say there’s not. I still think that’s up in the air.”

Earlier this month, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) finally admitted to funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the site of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This admission directly contradicts previous statements made under oath by Dr. Anthony Fauci, “Fauci lied. He committed a felony. It’s clear there was a massive cover-up from the beginning,” Sen. Paul wrote.

Pro-Ukraine House Republican chairmen on Friday said ["]President["] Joe Biden allowing Ukraine to strike certain targets on Russia soil with American weapons is a half measure.

"U.S. officials said Biden had granted Ukraine “limited” authorization for Ukraine to strike Russia. Fox News reported:

The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S.-supplied weapons for counter-fire purposes in the Kharkiv region, so Ukraine can hit back against Russian forces that are attacking them or preparing to attack them. Our policy with respect to prohibiting the use of ATACMS or long-range strikes inside of Russia has not changed.

Biden had granted this request after Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH), and other lawmakers had pressed the president to authorize Ukraine to attack Russia with American-provided arms.

This represents yet another escalation in Ukraine’s protracted conflict with Russia.

However, Turner, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL), and House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Mike McCaul (R-TX) in a joint statement referred to Biden’s decision as half-baked:

This decision should have been made before Russia’s recent offensive in Kharkiv, not after. Instead, the Biden administration’s continued handwringing crippled Ukraine’s response, forcing them to stand idly by and watch Russian forces prepare for an imminent attack just across its border. Moreover, by leaking to the press that the policy reversal only applies to certain U.S.-provided weapons in a limited area within Russia, the administration has telegraphed to Russia exactly how to effectively adapt to this change in policy, thereby decreasing the military effectiveness of the decision. To win this war of self-defense against Russia’s aggression, Ukraine must be allowed to use U.S.-provided weapons against any legitimate military targets in Russia, not just along the border near Kharkiv. Once again, President Biden’s policy of slow walking and half-measures is dragging out this conflict without providing Ukraine with a decisive advantage on the battlefield to force Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table as soon as possible.

 Russian leader Vladimir Putin has warned that any NATO countries that let Ukraine strike with their weapons would face “major consequences.”

The New York Times reported that Biden made Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky promise never to fire American-provided weapons into Russian territory to “avoid World War III.”

Pope Francis Names 3 Pro-Gay Prelates to Vatican Doctrinal Office (breitbart.com)

"ROME, Italy — Pope Francis appointed three prelates, known for their support for homosexuality, to the Vatican’s doctrinal office Saturday, just as LGBT groups were kicking off gay pride month.

Edward Pentin, a veteran Vatican journalist and author of The Next Pope, noted that the three men, two of whom are cardinals, have all been on the front lines in the push to relax the Church’s moral teaching on the evil of homosexual acts.

Portuguese Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, who adopted a “Who am I to judge?” approach in his pastoral work with homosexuals in Lisbon, has been a public advocate for former sister Maria Teresa Forcades i Vila, notorious for her promotion of “queer theology.” Cardinal Tolentino wrote a preface to one of her books and invited her to speak at the launch of a book of his in 2016.

The second appointment was Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, who has reportedly turned his diocese of Albano into “the Italian capital of the Catholic-gay movement,” annually hosting the Forum of Italian LGBT Christians, which seeks to make the homosexual lifestyle fully accepted inside the Church. Semeraro also wrote the foreword to a book by Father Aristide Fumagalli (dubbed “the Italian version of Fr. James Martin”), which bore the title Possible Love — Homosexual Persons and Christian Morality.

The pope’s third nominee was Archbishop Bruno Forte of the Italian diocese of Chieti-Vasto, the author of sections on homosexuality in the controversial interim document of the first Synod on the Family in 2014 that attempted to open the door to acceptance of homosexual relationships in the Church. Forte made a stir in 2023 by inviting people to pray for those taking part in Gay Pride events in the month of June.

Curiously, the Vatican announced these three new appointments on Saturday, just days after Pope Francis provoked outrage among certain LGBT groups by reiterating the Church’s ban on allowing homosexuals to enter seminary training, telling Italian bishops there is already too much “faggotry” in the Church.

The bishops should “get all the fairies [checche] out of seminary, even those who are only semi-oriented,” the pope added."
