The notoriously heterodox archbishop of Washington, D.C.’s remarks came during a homily at a Mass for Father James Martin’s pro-LGBT Outreach Conference at the Jesuit-run Georgetown University.

During his June 20 homily, McElroy failed to mention the Church’s teaching on same-sex “marriage” and accused the Church of “frequently wounding” the so-called “LGBT community” through “judgmentalism and exclusion.”

The prelate expressed hope for the future of Catholics who identify as “LGBT,” based on Pope Leo’s April remarks that the Church’s moral focus shouldn’t be so concerned with sexuality but on supposed “greater and more important issues” — such as justice, equality between men and women, and freedom of religion.

To that end, McElroy also cited a Synod report, published in May, which scandalously endorsed testimony without qualification that “sin, at its root, does not consist in the (same-sex) couple relationship” but in “a lack of faith in a God who desires our fulfillment.”

“When Pope Leo points to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life, he is rejecting this false reductionism that concentrates moral obligations within the sexual realm,” he added.

The cardinal then turned to the Synod report, which he said applies the “pastoral theology of Pope Francis in an integrated way with Catholic teaching and practice.”

Members of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) Student Action, along with many young faithful, peacefully prayed the Rosary outside the Jesuit university after receiving over 31,000 signatures for a petition opposing the June 19–21 conference, entitled “Walking Side by Side: Celebrating Five Years of Outreach Ministries.”

In addition to Martin himself, the conference featured several other notoriously heterodox speakers, such as Cardinal Robert McElroy, archbishop of Washington, D.C., Father James Keenan, S.J., and Sister Nancy Corcoran, CSJ, who have contradicted the Church’s teaching on homosexual “marriage” and gender ideology.

“Not only are the event speakers at odds with the Bible, but also against natural law, papal documents, the Fathers of the Church, the Doctors of the Church, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and countless saints,” TFP Student Action wrote on X.

“TFP Student Action volunteers brought the concerns of those 31,000 Catholics directly to the gates of Georgetown. Young Catholics say: ‘June belongs to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, not the sin of pride,'” they added. “In this time of great confusion, silence is not enough. We have a duty to proclaim the truth with charity and courage.”

When Will This End Lord, When Will This End??? Traditionis Custodes Strikes Again: Kentucky Bishop Bans Traditional Latin Mass!!

 The Bishop of Owensboro, Kentucky, William F. Medley, has revealed himself as another hater of the TLM -- and Tradition itself! -- has erased the TLM from his diocese in "obedience" to the now-dead Bergoglio.

Yes, even from the grave of the heterodox "pope" Francis, the faithful who worship God in the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven, have had the Mass of our Fathers cancelled!

Why?

"OWENSBORO, Kentucky (LifeSiteNews) — The Bishop of Owensboro has ordered a priest to stop celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass, citing instructions previously received from the Holy See.

On May 18, the Bishop of Owensboro, Kentucky, William F. Medley, directed Father David Kennedy, priest of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Earlington, Kentucky, to cease celebrating Mass according to the 1962 Roman Missal after June 30, 2026, stating that he cannot satisfy conditions established by the Holy See for the continuation of that permission.

“I have reviewed my correspondence with the Holy See from 2023,” the letter reads. “[That correspondence] indicated: ‘If after this period of time, you wish to renew this permission you will need to send us a further relatio along with your request.”

“This relatio should contain details of the number of participants at these Masses, and it should recount the steps which have been taken to lead the faithful who are attached to the antecedent liturgy towards the celebration of the liturgy according to the liturgical books reformed by decree of the Second Vatican Council and which form the unique expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite.’”

“As I am unable to demonstrate that this condition has been met, I have no standing to request an extension of the Holy See’s instruction, and I am directing you to not celebrate the Mass according to the Roman Missal of 1962 after June 30, 2026,” Bishop Medley wrote.

“I know that in some dioceses the faithful who have shown a preference for the Mass celebrated in Latin have accepted the Novus Ordo Mass celebrated in the Latin language,” he continued.

For this reason, Medley also indicated that Fr. Kennedy would be permitted to continue celebrating Mass in the Latin language, but only to according to the new Missal of St. Paul VI. In the same letter, he stated that he would grant the priest “singular permission to offer this Mass ad orientem.”

“As we discussed, I have permitted nearly a year to pass beyond reception of this consent from the Holy See,” he wrote. “I did this in recognition of the death of Pope Francis. I allowed the continuation of the traditional Latin Mass after the election of Pope Leo XIV to see if he would reconsider the matter of the Mass offered in parish churches.”

Bishop Medley added that he ultimately decided to act after what he described as a decision reached during the January Consistory of the College of Cardinals.

“After more than a year, and the January Consistory of the College of Cardinals in which they specifically chose not to review Traditionis custodes, I feel obligated as bishop to act in accord with the direction of the Holy See,” he wrote.

The bishop also addressed potential objections from members of the faithful affected by the decision. He instructed Fr. Kennedy that concerns could be referred directly to him and emphasized that his actions were being taken in obedience to Rome.

“For the faithful who may object to this directive you may certainly refer them to me, but please make clear that I am acting in accord with my promise to the Pope, the Bishop of Rome,” the letter states.

The letter concludes by thanking Fr. Kennedy for his ministry to Catholics who adhere to the traditional liturgy, whom Midley calls a “small and unique community.”

The motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, issued by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007, recognized the 1962 Roman Missal as the “extraordinary form” of the Roman Rite and granted every priest the freedom to celebrate it without needing special permission from his bishop. The document framed the traditional liturgy not as a relic of the past but as a living expression of the Church’s worship, capable of enriching the entire Catholic world.

The motu proprio Traditionis Custodes, promulgated by Pope Francis in 2021, reversed this approach. It declared the reformed liturgy of Paul VI to be the “unique expression” of the Roman Rite and placed the celebration of the older form under strict episcopal control, requiring explicit authorization and often restricting its use to non‑parish settings. In practice, the two documents represent opposite ecclesiological visions: one of liturgical pluralism within unity, and one of liturgical uniformity as a condition for ecclesial communion.

The extraordinary consistory held on January 7–8 had included, among the four topics to be addressed, the question of the liturgy. However, during the cardinals’ meeting with the Pope, the topic was not taken up. Instead, Cardinal Arthur Roche — Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the mastermind behind Traditionis Custodes — circulated among the senior prelates a report on the implementation of Francis’ motu proprio.

The distinction between the Traditional Roman Mass and the post‑conciliar Novus Ordo is far deeper than the use of Latin versus the vernacular. The two forms embody different theological emphases, ritual structures, and liturgical doctrines.

The older rite highlights sacrifice, transcendence, and ritual fixity, expressed through a stable offertory, a single Roman Canon, a predominantly silent and priest‑centered action, and a dense symbolic language. The Novus Ordo, by contrast, reflects a pastoral and didactic orientation: multiple Eucharistic prayers to chose from, expanded lay participation, audible prayers, and a flexibility that allows for significant variation in tone and style. To reduce the contrast to Latin versus the local language is therefore to mislead.

The community of Catholics attached to the traditional liturgy is neither an eccentric minority nor a sociological anomaly. Over the past two decades, it has grown steadily across continents, attracting young families, converts, and vocations at rates disproportionate to its size. Its demographic profile—high Mass attendance, strong catechetical commitment, and above‑average fertility—makes it one of the most dynamic segments of Western Catholicism."

"WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Cardinal Robert McElroy and Cardinal Blase Cupich, the heterodox ["]archbishops["] of Washington, D.C., and Chicago, as well as Eduardo Peñalver, the incoming pro-LGBT president of the Jesuit Georgetown University, each sent greetings to attendees of Father James Martin’s Outreach Conference this weekend.

In an X post, Outreach shared three letters dated June 19 written by McElroy, who will be speaking at the conference, Cupich, and Peñalver that offered encouragement and prayers to conference attendees, some of whom are likely not living in accordance with Catholic teaching, and emphasized the “new ministry” toward “LGBT Catholics” under Popes Francis and Leo.

Martin’s 2026 Outreach Conference, entitled “Walking Side by Side: Celebrating Five Years of Outreach Ministries,” will take place June 19-21 at Georgetown University with LGBTQ lay people, clergy, scholars, artists, educators, students and family members to celebrate five years of Outreach ministry.

Meeting comes at ‘key time’ in Church history

“I am delighted to welcome you to the 2026 Outreach Conference here in Washington,” McElroy wrote. “For I know that the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present in our meetings and discussions at this key time in the history of our Church and nation.”

The cardinal then noted that the conference comes at a time after Pope Francis laid the foundation for “authentic ministry” toward the so-called “LGBT community” that he said has been continued by Pope Leo. The prelate boasted that the conference also comes after the release of Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality.

“We convene in a moment when the pastoral foundations laid by Pope Francis for authentic ministry to and with the LGBT community are being deepened and refined by Pope Leo,” he wrote.

Indeed, Pope Francis’ pontificate was marked by several apparent contradictions of the Church’s clear teaching on homosexuality.

The Catholic Church teaches that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered” and “contrary to the natural law” and that the homosexual inclination is “objectively disordered.” The Catechism is very clear that homosexual activity can never be approved and repeats that “(h)omosexual persons are called to chastity.”

By contrast, in 2013, the Argentine pontiff infamously declared “Who am I to judge?” when asked about the existence of a gay lobby within the Vatican and the practice of homosexuality.

Francis also made numerous public statements praising and supporting advocates of LGBT ideology and same-sex civil unions. And most notably, in 2023, Francis’ Vatican published the Declaration Fiducia Supplicans that approved “blessings for couples in irregular situations and for couples of the same sex.”

Pope Leo appears to be continuing with Francis’ ambiguity on the issue. Last fall, he allowed thousands of so-called “LGBT Catholics” to process into St. Peter’s Basilica, led by a rainbow cross, many with their homosexual “partners,” dressed in rainbow colors, with some waving “LGBT pride” flags.

Fr. Martin also claimed in a February interview with left-wing comedian Stephen Colbert that Leo assured him he plans to continue with Francis’ pro-LGBT agenda during a private audience.

McElroy also boasted that the conference comes after the release of Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality.

“And the conference comes directly after the release of Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality, which places LGBT ministry within a new paradigm that integrates powerfully the experience of faith-filled and diverse disciples as a basis for understanding the call to holiness in all its concreteness,” he added.

The heretical Synod report, published in May, scandalously endorsed testimony, without qualification, claiming that “sin, at its root, does not consist in the (same-sex) couple relationship” but in “a lack of faith in a God who desires our fulfillment.”

Conference ‘resonates well in our synodal church’

Cardinal Cupich, in his letter to the conference, noted that leaders from Chicago’s Archdiocesan Gay and Lesbian Outreach (AGLO) would be attending and lauded the 2026 conference theme of “Walking Side by Side,” saying it fits with the “synodal church.”

“The conference theme resonates well in our synodal church and in the current new missionary age, it is helpful to look to the early Christians who were determined that no one felt left out or was left behind,” the prelate wrote. “Making a greater effort to listen to people’s faith journeys by recognizing evangelization as a process enables people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and in solidarity with other members of the Body of Christ.”

While it’s true that the Church from its earliest days aimed for no one to be “left behind,” authentic Catholic outreach includes calling those not following the Gospel, such as those in same-sex “relationships,” to repent, that Cupich and the conference fail to mention entirely.

Cupich concluded his letter by joining his prayers with the conference attendees that the event “enriches” them and encourages them “to walk with others in faith.”

Gathering follows ‘mission’ of ‘creating an inclusive campus’

In his letter, Peñalver, who has explicitly said he rejects the Church’s teaching on homosexuality, expressed his excitement that the university he will soon serve as president is hosting the conference. Peñalver also highlighted his erroneous belief that a key duty of Catholic and Jesuit universities is “creating an inclusive campus.”

"(LifeSiteNews) — Over the past decade, many in the international press have openly wondered how Canada’s euthanasia regime went off the rails so swiftly and so grotesquely that other nations have decided against legalizing assisted suicide for fear of turning into Canada.

There are, of course, many answers to that question, but one cannot be emphasized enough: Canada had essentially no open debate on assisted suicide in the press. After Canada’s Supreme Court magically discovered a “right to die” (in the right to life), the press celebrated. As legislation was debated, anti-euthanasia voices were conspicuously absent and ignored (with the lonely exception of Andrew Coyne, then at the National Post).

In fact, when I turned on the CBC in my car one evening in a fit of apparent masochism in 2016 and heard them announce a debate on assisted suicide, I wondered who would be representing the pro-life side. The debate turned out to be between an advocate of Bill C-14 (Justin Trudeau’s first euthanasia bill) and someone who didn’t think it went far enough. The boundaries of the media’s Overton window for debate on euthanasia nearly touched.

This became even clearer as I watched the UK’s vibrant debate on assisted suicide and euthanasia debate unfold over the past several years. Every major publication from the Guardian to the Daily Mail to the Times covered the downsides of legalization — often using Canada as a cautionary example — and platformed the views of pro-lifers and others opposed to medicalized killing. I was downright envious watching it.

Although much of Canada’s state-funded media still obediently pumps out Dying with Dignity’s talking points, the sheer scale of the killing combined with the heartbroken testimonies of grieving families has now forced a debate, although it has been infuriating to see journalists wonder how things could have gotten so bad when pro-lifers accurately predicted all of this. They just didn’t want to listen until the consequences became clear.

The poster child for the Canadian media’s cheerleading of euthanasia is André Picard, the health columnist for Canada’s “paper of record,” the Globe and Mail.

“Thanks to the legalization of medical assistance in dying, more than 100,000 Canadians have been spared unnecessary suffering at end-of-life,” Picard wrote on June 16. “As we mark the 10th anniversary of Bill C-14, Medical Assistance in Dying, on June 17, we should be celebrating, not hand-wringing.” On X, he was even blunter, calling the killing of 100,000 Canadians by doctor-administered lethal injection a “cause for celebration.” A cause for celebration. Tell that to the families mourning their loved ones that they tried to save.

In his column, Picard mocks the “anti-choice activists” who say that 100,000 is “too many.” “The culture of dying has changed fundamentally, for the better,” he wrote. “About one in every 20 deaths is now medically assisted. Life has not been cheapened by MAID. Dignity, choice, and bodily autonomy have all been bolstered.” Perhaps he is referring to the man who was cleared for euthanasia in a Tim Hortons parking lot and then driven to an industrial morgue facility to be put down.

“We’ve had endless warnings about the ‘slippery slope’ of MAID as well, frightening claims that we will see the culling of the elderly, of people with disabilities, those suffering from mental illness, and those who live in poverty,” Picard continued. “Hasn’t happened, and it won’t. Not all slopes are slippery. The cases that push the boundaries are a path to better legislation, and better care.”

It most certainly is happening, as many of his colleagues now admit. For the rest, he’s either lying or ignorant. Track 2 MAID explicitly permits people with disabilities — even those without “reasonably foreseeable death” — to commit suicide by doctor, and euthanasia for those suffering solely from a mental illness is still legal (although, thank God, it appears the government is set to put a halt to it).

Of course, Picard’s conclusion is that when the thing he says isn’t happening does happen — “cases that push the boundaries” — it’s a good thing, actually.

It appears that Picard doesn’t read his colleagues in the international press either. “Canada has been a world leader, and we should be proud of it,” he purred. “MAID is not an experiment anymore. It’s a legitimate health care choice, an integral part of end-of-life care.” Indeed. Our example has thus far killed euthanasia bills in Slovenia, Scotland, and Westminster. As it turns out, there are plenty of people who — even when they support assisted suicide in principle — are horrified when they realize where this slope leads.

Picard insists that the slippery slope doesn’t exist. The truth is that he’s at the bottom, standing atop a pile of corpses, informing the legions of heartbroken Canadians who could not stop their loved ones from being euthanized that they should be celebrating."

What am I talking about?

It is this... Right now, satan is winning the battle for souls, not only in Canada, but also worldwide!

If you look about, you will see stories of attacks on religion -- specifically the Catholic faith -- with the destruction of moral and spiritual leadership, not to mention the vandalism and torching of churches in the U.S. and worldwide.

In the Middle East, we have the zionist-atheists shrinking the Gaza Strip and massacring the Christian population that has lived in Judea for centuries.

In Africa, Christian villages are routinely attacked and folks taken hostage or killed outright.

All these attacks are usually carried out by lunatic Jihadists, you know, the "religion of peace" as the idiotic George W. Bush once labeled the "religion" of Mohammad...

In communist red China, the faithful Catholics are driven underground, and some real bishops and priests are thrown in jail or are never seen again! 

We have a man sitting in the Chair of St. Peter who is a media darling; progressive, liberal and a destroyer of the perennial teachings of the Catholic Church and the real, authentic Magisterium, following in the evil footsteps of Bergoglio, sowing confusion, committing heresies and scandal, leading many to abandon the one Ark of Salvation...

"OTTAWA (LifeSiteNews) — A final attempt to stop Bill C-9 was defeated, meaning that the bill, which threatens to criminalize quoting parts of the Bible, including on homosexuality, has officially passed Canada’s Parliament and will soon become law.

On Wednesday, June 17, a majority of MPs voted down an attempt by Conservative MP Andrew Lawton to stop Bill C-9 “once and for all.”

“The Liberals and Bloc Québécois voted down my motion to withdraw the divisive and toxic Bill C-9 to stand up for freedom of expression and freedom of religion,” wrote Lawton in an X post.

Lawton thanked Green and NDP MPs for voting in opposition to Bill C-9, noting that “opposition to this bill has come from the political left and right, from civil liberties groups and a range of faith organizations.”

“With the adoption of the Senate’s amendment criminalizing the noose as a hate symbol, Bill C-9 will soon receive royal assent and become law.”

As reported by LifeSiteNews, Canadian senators voted recently to approve the Liberals’ Bill C-9 or “An Act to amend the Criminal Code (hate propaganda, hate crime, and access to religious or cultural places).”

However, because the last-minute amendment adding the noose was made, the bill had to go back to the House of Commons before it was sent to the Governor General for Royal Assent to become law. 

As reported by LifeSiteNews, Canadian senators last week voted down a recent proposed amendment to Bill C-9 that would have criminalized “residential school denialism.” 

A ‘dark day’ for Christians

One Conservative MP, Brad Redekopp, called the official passage of Bill C-9 a “dark day” for Canada and religious freedom and an “assault” on faith.

“Today is a dark day in Canadian history,” wrote Redekopp in an X post.

“The House has passed Bill C-9—an assault on religious freedom that removes longstanding protections for Canadians expressing sincerely held beliefs. Conservatives fought this bill every step of the way—and we will keep fighting until religious freedom is restored.”

Canadian pro-life and faith groups, as well as a Catholic cardinal, sounded the alarm over the legislation. Indeed, in a recent letter to Canadian senators, Cardinal Frank Leo, the metropolitan archbishop of Toronto, said that while the Catholic Church recognizes “the importance of addressing hatred and protecting individuals and communities from violence,” changes are needed to the bill.

Constitutional experts have blasted the bill, saying that it will allow empowered police and the government to go after those deemed to have violated a person’s “feelings” in a “hateful” way. The bill was introduced by Justice Minister Sean Fraser last year.

Specifically, Bill C-9 would remove Section 319(3)(b) of Canada’s Criminal Code.

This section protects the good-faith expression of a person’s religious views based on religious texts such as the Holy Bible.

Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) previously blasted the passage of Bill C-9 in the Senate, saying that “God will not be mocked.”

“This is a dark day for religious freedom and free speech in Canada,” said Jeff Gunnarson, national president of CLC."'
