You may have heard that Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking to a gathering of students and others at an event on the campus of Utah Valley University.
From what I have heard from law enforcement folks, it seems that this was a professional "hit" from a building somewhere on the campus...
Mr. Kirk leaves behind a young wife and two very young children.
It should also be mentioned that Utah still has the death penalty! Unfortunately, many left-leaning ("blue") states have forgone that punishment, which has led, no doubt, to those wise guys knowing that if convicted in those "blue" states, they cannot -- in most cases -- be sentenced to death.
I repeat they know that!
Now regardless of one's political or religious views, it is clear from the beginnings of the human race, that killing the innocent is a violation of the Commandment -- thou shalt not kill.
The first killer, Cain, killed his brother Abel, and from that point to this, we have deranged monsters that kill for many twisted reasons; political, sexual, etc. And some for hire: the hit man -- for money -- to take out opponents or those who speak and preach the truth in a world filled with lies and distortions of the truth.

From what I have read, Mr. Kirk was not a Catholic, however, I have also read that it seems that he might have been inching closer to our Catholic Faith.
I ask those of good will to pray to God for mercy on Mr. Kirk's soul and for aid, comfort and consolation for his family, relatives and friends that knew and loved him.
