"Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) pledged to launch a campaign to boost radical sex change procedures in his state in response to Donald Trump’s landslide election.

Pritzker used Transgender Awareness Week — November 12 to 19 — as a platform to showboat over the issue, Fox News reported.

"This Transgender Awareness Week, I want you to know that I see you and have your back as governor,” Pritzker wrote on X. “Illinois has enshrined protections for gender-affirming care to meet this moment — and because of that, you will have a home here always.”

Pritzker’s cousin, James Nicholas Pritzker, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Illinois National Guard, is now a transgender person who goes by the name “Jennifer,” and runs a left-wing organization that passes out grants to organizations that support “gender and human sexuality.”

As governor, the billionaire Pritzker has been at the forefront of pushing extreme and dangerous trans ideology. In 2021 he directed the state’s Department of Human Services to put in place a list of protections for “transgender, nonbinary and gender nonconforming students” as part of his reinterpretation of the Illinois Human Rights Act of 1979.

“Ensuring every Illinois student has access to a safe, validating learning environment where they can be their true self is a top priority for my administration,” Pritzker said in a release in 2021. “This guidance from the Illinois Department of Human Rights will provide students, caregivers, and educators another tool to ensure classrooms are welcoming, affirming, and inclusive for all students.”

The Land of Lincoln is one of those deep blue states that allows students to use any bathroom they choose at any given time without having to prove they have undergone any medical procedures. State officials also force all schools to allow boys identifying as girls to play girls’ sports.

State officials have also allowed Medicaid funding to be used to pay for radical transgender procedures for those under 21.

Pritzker might be running against the tide of opinion in his state, though. While Donald Trump did lose Illinois, he lost the state by a significantly smaller percentage than he did in 2020 and 2016.

A few days after Election Day, it became clear Trump lost Illinois to Harris 53.4 percent to 45.0 percent. However, that is a smaller margin compared to the 57.54 percent to 40.55 percent he lost to Biden in 2020, and the even bigger 55.83 percent to 38.76 percent he lost to Clinton in 2016.

Furthermore, Trump’s support in the usually deep blue city of Chicago nearly doubled what he won there in 2016. In 2016 Trump earned a mere 12.4 percent of Chicago’s vote. In 2020 that grew slightly to 15.6 percent. But this year he reached 22.1 percent.

In addition, polling finds generally that only a small minority of Americans agree with the radical transgender agenda.

In October, a Rasmussen Reports survey found that a majority of 60 percent of Americans oppose the transgender agenda.

A similar poll conducted by the Center Square found nearly the same results with 59 percent opposed to minors receiving transgender-related medical procedures or treatments. And another poll from earlier in the year suggested that voters do not want to see trans athletes competing alongside women.

In addition, a poll from June found that many voters feel that the whole issue of transgenderism is a political distraction."

Biden Reportedly Approves Ukraine Long-Range Missile Strikes in Russia

Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden has reportedly approved the use of long-range American missiles by Ukraine to strike within the Russian mainland, in a move which may escalate the conflict two months before President-Elect Donald Trump comes into office with a mandate to seek a peace settlement.

According to reports from the Democrat-aligned Washington Post and New York Times newspapers, both citing unnamed U.S. officials, lame-duck President Joe Biden has lifted restrictions barring Ukraine from using American Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles to strike targets within Russia.

The Biden White House previously approved the use of ATACMS by Kyiv to strike Russian targets within Ukrainian territory, including Russian-occupied lands such as Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Moscow under the Obama administration in 2014. The Biden administration had also approved the use of shorter-range American missiles for limited cross-border strikes within Russia.

However, President Biden had been hesitant to permit the Ukrainians to use ATACMS within Russia for fear of escalating the conflict, with reported concerns over the world’s largest nuclear power potentially using more powerful weapons within Ukraine, Moscow increasing assistance to American adversaries such as the Islamist regime in Iran or to the Houthi terrorists in Yemen in their quest to disrupt global shipping.

The apparent about-face from the Biden administration may be seen as an attempt to undermine peace efforts by incoming President Donald Trump, who has already embarked upon unofficial diplomatic efforts to fulfil his promise of negotiating an end to the war.

Shortly after securing victory in last week’s elections, Mr Trump held calls with principal players in the conflict, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Reports also claimed that the present-elect spoke with Vladimir Putin and urged him not to escalate the war before the transition of power in Washington. The Kremlin has denied the call took place.

While Mr Trump has not publicly revealed his negotiating strategy, allies, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, have suggested that the future 47th President would likely seek to withhold funding for Ukraine to pressure Zelensky to the negotiating table. Zelensky has said that he would be unwilling to agree to any deal which included ceding land that Ukrainian forces have so far failed to recapture from Russian control.

With the expectation of Trump using purse strings to pressure Kyiv into accepting a more realistic compromise, there have been efforts on both sides of the Atlantic to secure funding sources for Zelensky to continue the fight.

Speaking from Brussels on Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said: “President Biden has committed to making sure that every dollar we have at our disposal will be pushed out the door between now and January 20th.”

Meanwhile, over the weekend, the G7 nations of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States jointly vowed “enduring support for Ukraine” and to back Kyiv for “as long as it takes“.

The ‘Weimar Triangle’ alliance of France, Germany, and Poland are also expected to meet alongside the UK and others next week to discuss potentially increasing European funding for the war if the incoming Trump administration seeks to limit aid to Ukraine. It is unclear, however, how much popular support would be for such a move, given the budget crises currently bedevilling the left-wing governments in Berlin, London, and Paris.

The reports of the Biden White House approving long-range missile strikes came after Moscow launched a large-scale attack across Ukraine on Saturday, with President Zelensky saying that Russia had launched a total of 120 missiles and 90 drones against Ukrainian infrastructure targets.

Both the New York Times and Washington Post implied that the decision by Biden to approve ATACMS strikes in Russia was prompted by North Korean troops entering Russia and potentially joining the conflict rather than a desire to impede Trump’s peace efforts.

According to the unnamed U.S. officials, the ATACMS strikes would be initially limited to the Kursk region of Russia, where Ukraine launched a surprise incursion over the summer and where North Korean forces are said to be amassing. However, the reports said President Biden may still approve strikes elsewhere within Russia while he remains in office."

"(LifeSiteNews) — Perhaps you were also surprised when Pope Francis first claimed that “synodality” is part of the essence of the Church. After all, to this day, nobody knows what he means by this term, and it does not appear anywhere in the history of the Church.

When Francis then convened the two-year “Synod on Synodality,” you may have been even more surprised, just as you were  surprised by its results, which are now available in the final document.

But what is behind all this or, to quote Goethe, what is “the crux of the matter?”

In a nutshell, what Francis calls “synodality” is just a complex system of lies, and the “Synod on Synodality” was already a lie in itself.  It was not a true “Synod” [that is, a “synod of bishops”] because a quarter of the participants were not bishops, but lay people.

Meanwhile, no Synod has any authority, regardless of whether you want to attribute it to the “Holy Spirit” or the “sense of the faith of the faithful.” And as Francis strategically staffed this synod, its results were clear from the outset.

Such a “Synod” is only one thing: it is fraudulent labeling by the Pope, and it shows how naturally Francis uses lies as a tactic. That’s frightening.

Ultimately, this “Synod of Bishops” was just something of a super lie, which is why we call it “papal lie number 1” in our context.

“Papal lie number 2” was that Francis always emphasized that “synodality” was not a political process but a genuinely “spiritual” one.

Whether a pope can decree “spiritual processes” is doubtful, of course, because not even a council would see itself as a “spiritual process.”

That the “World Synod” was not a “spiritual” process but a purely political one was shown by its final document: point by point, the individual voting results are listed, and majority decisions are made.

It goes without saying that this is a purely political and not a spiritual method, and this also applies to the fact that you cannot vote on the Church and the faith. This is certainly not the case when you consider that in Church history it was not uncommon for minorities to hold on to the revealed faith, for example at the time of Arianism.

In contrast, “papal lie number 3” is more difficult to grasp because it concerns what Francis usually calls “discernment.”

In his view, this “discernment” constitutes the “synodal” processes. What the Pope means by “discernment” is, nevertheless, as always unclear. What is clear, however, is that at the end of the “Synod,” he himself renounced any comprehensible form of discernment and declared the majority results of the Synod to be part of the papal magisterium.

In doing so, however, he has given the “Synod” an authority that it does not have and that the Pope can never attribute to it. For even if it had been a real “Synod of Bishops,” it would, at best, have had an advisory (!) character, and even the Pope himself could not change this. He cannot hand over the authority he has received from Christ to third parties or simply share it. In other words, Francis has replaced the papal magisterium with a new magisterium that does not actually exist, and which is reflected in the voting results of a pseudo-synod of bishops. In this respect, the conclusion of the “Synod” was a historic step, and the “papal lie number 3” turned out to be an act of papal arbitrariness and a betrayal of his own office.

However, by systematically lying, the Pope has put himself in a precarious situation. Quite a few statements in the final document of the “Synod” are incompatible with the Catholic faith. They bear witness to how rapidly Catholicism has evaporated and how much Francis supports this.  To put it more unkindly, one could also speak here of a heretical “Synod” and a “heretical pope,” which more and more Catholics are now doing quite openly.

This heretical dimension becomes clearest in the final document, where the Synod discusses itself, outlining an understanding of the Church that remains purely horizontal and communitarian.

Whereas, according to Catholic doctrine, the Church is the universal sacrament of salvation, here the “synodal” togetherness is brought close to the “sacramental” and in all seriousness paralleled with the “celebration of the Eucharist” (cf. No. 27). It is even claimed that the Spirit of God works in the “Synod” in the same way as in the Holy Mass, which conversely is understood only as a Protestant communion. Sin and grace no longer play a role here; the sacrifice of the cross and redemption are not even mentioned.

To put it bluntly: there is no trace of the Catholic faith here, and if “synodality” is anything, it is Luther’s late triumph over the Church.

Francis alone is responsible for all of this by installing a “magisterium” of lies and heresy, and not for the first time either. The objective of this “magisterium” is clear: Francis and his followers want to establish a new Church that is NOT the Church of Christ, and that is no longer in the succession of the apostles.

This is most clearly illustrated by the problem of the so-called “ordination of women.”

The “Synod” and Francis claim in the final document that the ordination of “women deacons” is an “open” question.

However, like so many things, this is also a lie, as the apostles laid hands only on men, and the Church has rightly been committed to this apostolic tradition over the centuries.

For this reason, there have never been any validly ordained “deaconesses,” and it would have been the Pope’s duty to finally clarify this at the end of the Synod at the latest.

But this is precisely what Francis refrained from doing and instead approved the brazen lie of his “Synod.”

The supposedly “open” question will now be clarified by experts afterward, but this move also conceals another lie: the faith of the Church is never what individual experts believe it to be, but only what the Church as a whole has believed and practiced over the centuries. This includes the fact that, according to apostolic practice, only men can be ordained.

Francis and his “Synod” are far removed from such evident truths of faith. Lies never lead to the truth and never to Jesus Christ, who said crystal clear before Pilate: “Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37). In contrast, we prefer not to listen to the voice of Francis and his Synod. The synodal lies lead us away from Christ and His Church. We remember: shortly before the “Synod,” Francis himself denied that salvation is only through Christ, which says EVERYTHING about him and his “Synod.”

"VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — The Vatican has approved the Mayan rite of the Mass which will involve ritual dancing, women taking the place of the priest in incensing the altar, and lay leadership of certain prayers in the liturgy.

The announcement came via Cardinal Felipe Arizmendi Esquivel, who is bishop emeritus of the San Cristobal de Las Casas diocese in Mexico and one of the leading promoters of this new rite.

Writing in his weekly column November 13, Arizmendi joyfully revealed that the Vatican’s Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments has “with the authority of the Pope, on November 8 of this year, granted the long-awaited recognitio of some liturgical adaptations for the celebration of the Holy Mass in the Tseltal, Tsotsil, Ch’ol, Tojolabal, and Zoque ethnic groups of the diocese of San Cristóbal de Las Casas.”

Arizmendi has previously been in communication with LifeSite’s Dr. Maike Hickson, providing her with details about the proposed draft of the rite when it was being assessed by the Vatican. Subsequently, he confirmed to this correspondent a few times about his consternation that the Dicastery was taking so long to approve the rite.

The Vatican’s approval is “the official recognition of the Church by which these adaptations are approved as valid and legitimate,” he wrote in his column.

“They are the liturgy of the Church, and not just customs and habits that are viewed with suspicion,” he said in defense of the new rite of the Novus Ordo Mass. {Emphasis original}

Arizmendi was keen to highlight the significance of the development, since it is indeed only the second such rite since the Second Vatican Council which has been approved, the other being the Zaire rite in Africa.

Echoing Pope Francis on the topic, Arizmendi opined that such rites “are a form of incarnation of faith in expressions that are very specific to these cultures. We did not invent them, but we adopted what they live and which is in accordance with the Roman rite.”

“If there are deviations in some indigenous customs, we can help them to reach their fullness in Christ and in his Church,” he said.

What is new?

Last summer, Arizmendi provided LifeSite with the draft that had been submitted to the Vatican.

The now Vatican-approved rite – as described by Arizmendi – is outlined below:

Ritual dances: “Ritual dances” were approved at the Offertory, in the prayer of the faithful or in the thanksgiving after communion. These, Arizmendi said, are “simple movements of the entire assembly, monotonous, contemplative, accompanied by traditional music, and which express the same thing as the Roman rite, but in a different cultural form.”

“The content of the Mass is not changed, but the way it is expressed,” he said.

Women to incense instead of the priest: Women will perform the “ministry of incense bearers” in Mass “instead of the priest.” After the priest blesses and imposes incense, the woman then incense the “altar, the images, the Gospel book, the ministers and the assembly.” They will apparently not use the customary thurible, but rather “an incense burner proper to their culture.”

This, Arimenzi said, is born out of the indigenous custom of having usually women incensing during prayer.

Lay leadership of Mass prayers: The practice of having a lay man or woman of “recognized moral importance” who will be the “principal,” has been approved to “lead certain parts of the community prayer.” These times would be: “either at the beginning of the Mass, to initiate the community into the celebration, to name the intentions and to ask for forgiveness, or in the prayer of the faithful, after the priest makes the initial invitation and closes with the concluding prayer, or after communion as a thanksgiving, which the priest concludes with the post-communion prayer.”

The cardinal attested that the new practice did not mean “removing the priest from his service as president of the assembly, since he is the one who is at the head of the celebration, and he authorizes these moments.”

The lay leader “promotes and guides the prayer of all,” as he does not pray in just his name. “It is another way for the assembly to participate; the content of the Roman rite is not changed, but its cultural expression,” said Arizmendi.

Pagan theology underpinning rite

The Vatican had been assessing the text since July of 2023, after Mexico’s bishops voted 103-2 in favor during the April 2023 plenary assembly of the rite. The bishops of Mexico discussed an initial draft version, which was then amended slightly for presentation to the Vatican.

Speaking last year, Arizmendi stated that the country’s bishops extended the proposals to “all the native peoples of the country,” rather than just to those of the San Cristóbal diocese. However, that nation-wide permission has not been officially given, though in practice it remains very unlikely that the rite will be limited to the areas outlined by the Vatican.

Dr. Hickson previously noted that a Mayan rite has already been practiced in the Diocese of San Cristóbal, as it has been approved by the Mexican bishops’ conference. (See her prior coverage HERE and HERE)

In the March 2023 draft of the rite sent to LifeSite, the role of the “principal” was posited as being key as such an individual would “become even more relevant during the period of absence of the clergy in our diocese.” Such a line prompts the suggestion of completely lay led ceremonies as a norm in the future, rather than simply certain parts of the Mass.

It is not yet clear from Arizmendi’s description if the “principal” will engage in the pagan practice of praying to the four directions of the earth. The March 2023 draft noted that “on special occasions this prayer can be realigned by invoking God from the four cardinal points.” To invoke God from the four cardinal points implies in the Mayan polytheistic tradition: the four directions of the earth—north, west, south, east—which are traditionally connected with gods. However this was not present in the draft sent to the Vatican last summer and seen by LifeSite at the time.

But despite this, the underlying pagan theology remains. The “ritual dance” Arizmendi mentions was described in the March 2023 draft thus: “the feet caress the face of Mother Earth, making light movements. The face of God is greeted by moving to the four directions of the universe.”

The Undersecretary of the Dicastery — Bishop Aurelio García Macías — was heavily involved in drawing up the rite. He told local media in March last year that the process was “a personal enrichment for me because I believe that the local experience of San Cristóbal de Las Casas has discerned, has been able to study, reflect and can be enriched with the universal experience of the Catholic Church.”

Meanwhile, another pagan-based rite is also under consideration by the Vatican. The Amazon, or Amazonian, rite is about to begin a three-year trial period later this year. The Amazon rite is a product of the highly controversial 2019 Synod of Bishops on the Amazon, or the Amazon Synod.

Among the many proposals raised by the Amazon Synod and its final document are the opening of the clerical state to women and admitting married men to the priesthood, in an attempt to make the Church more appealing to Catholics in the region.

This “Amazonian rite” would “expresses the liturgical, theological, disciplinary and spiritual heritage of the Amazon,” which would assist the “work of evangelization.”

Meanwhile, the Dicastery for Divine Worship has been accused of implementing a “persecution” of the Church’s traditional liturgy across the global Church."
