The Tenets Of The New, Novus Ordo, Synodal "Church": German Bishop Says ‘We Do Not Have To Evangelize’ The World Since People Can Be ‘Happy’ Without God!!!!!

Let's see what Our Lord said about that: "...a blatant contradiction to the commands of Jesus Christ, who ordered the apostles to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (St. Matthew 28:19-20)

German bishop says 'we do not have to evangelize' the world since people can be 'happy' without God - LifeSite

(Notice too that this sermon was given on the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God.  Isn't it "funny" how many of these bizarre sermons and statements come out from these bad actors on Feast days of our Blessed Mother???)

Should we (and those who now feel safe and secure in their un-belief) follow and believe what this German "bishop" says??

This is another prime example of the Judas goat leading the flock -- and potential converts -- over the cliff to certain spiritual death for all eternity!

Remember, Francis himself said several years back, that we Catholics should not proselytize, indicating that it is a sin to do so!!!

So, in reality, "bishop" Franz-Josef Overbeck, is just following the other Judas goat's directive.  Can you really blame him?  These modernist monsters are cut from the same non-Catholic, seamless garment, a la "cardinal" Bernadin...

"(LifeSiteNews) – German Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck has said that “we do not have to evangelize the whole world” and that people are “happy and content” without God.

In a sermon on the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, in the Essen Cathedral, Overbeck said that “we do not have to evangelize the whole world and win them over to a certain form of church life.”

“God will find ways to lead those who cannot or do not want to believe in Him onto a good path,” the bishop stated.

“Understanding and living our common Christian and church life in such a way that the Gospel is an invitation for people, but not a compulsion or pressure, is what we can do to ensure that there will continue to be places of Christianity in the future that are accessible to everyone.”

Overbeck’s statements are a blatant contradiction to the commands of Jesus Christ, who ordered the apostles to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

While it is true that the Catholic Church condemns coercion when evangelizing and people are free to accept or reject the Gospel, Catholics, and especially bishops as successors of the apostles, have a clear command to evangelize all peoples.

Moreover, his claim that God will lead people on a good path who do not want to believe him is erroneous. The Catholic Church teaches that those who willfully turn away from God and commit mortal sin without repenting will suffer eternal damnation (cf. CCC 1037).

Overbeck cited studies that purport to show that many people say they do not need God or religion and still “are happy and content and often lead a fulfilled life and are by no means selfish people.”

Catholic philosopher Sebastian Ostritsch pointed out in an article for Die Tagespost that even if it were true that people are happy and content without God, Christians must primarily be concerned with their neighbor’s eternal salvation and not superficial contentment.

Speaking about the conversion of Jews to the one true Catholic faith, Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, who is a Jewish convert to the Catholic faith, said that “the greatest form of antisemitism” is to deny them “the knowledge of Christ.”

Bishop Athanasius Schneider agreed with Mother Miriam, adding that Catholics have a duty to bring the Gospel to everyone and that it would be a sin against the love of neighbor to deny them the privilege of knowing the Lord."

End of article...

What is the primary goal of the Church?  The salvation of souls, correct?  Please pray for the conversion of this German bishop to the Catholic faith!

Pray for strength and honor!

Fr. Gerald Murray Accuses Pope Francis Of ‘Endorsing The Homosexual Lifestyle’. Plus, Bergoglio's Vicious Attack On Traditional Catholics!

The new memoir just released by Francis, exposes a weird endorsement of homosexuals and that God accepts "them as they are."  In other words, there is no need for repentance and making a firm purpose of amendment to exit the sodomite lifestyle because of the "unconditional love" of our good God and Lord.

Really?

Sorry, there are conditions, such as the Ten Commandments (not the ten suggestions!) and receiving the Holy Eucharist in a state of grace, if one is to enter the Heavenly Beatitude.

The Bible -- St. Paul -- is clear on the condemnation of such horrendous un-natural acts.  However, the heretic Jesuit, J. Martin, has consistently quipped that St. Paul got it wrong, and that Church teaching should be changed regarding the sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance!

Please read the following article from lifesitenews.com and written by Michael Haynes, Snr. Vatican Correspondent

Fr. Gerald Murray accuses Pope Francis of 'endorsing the homosexual lifestyle' - LifeSite

"(LifeSiteNews) — Father Gerald Murray has accused Pope Francis of “endorsing the homosexual lifestyle” in the Pontiff’s newly released memoir.

During the January 16 episode of Raymond Arroyo’s “The World Over,” Fr. Murray opined that instead of renewing the Church’s teaching on homosexuality, the Pope was in fact “endorsing the homosexual lifestyle by saying that these people have to be respected, that the Catholic Church should not say anything to disturb the peace and tranquility of people who have embraced the homosexual lifestyle.”

Billed as a quasi-autobiography, Hope contains only little significant content but does provide Francis a space to repeat comments he has made about homosexual individuals and devotees of the traditional Mass.

Renewing his prior criticism of laws against homosexuality, which are particularly prevalent in African nations, Francis said that homosexuality “is a human fact” to which the Church must not respond “faintheartedly.”

Continuing, Francis made a suggestion appearing to remove the need for conversion away from the practice of a homosexual lifestyle:

Continuing, Francis made a suggestion appearing to remove the need for conversion away from the practice of a homosexual lifestyle:

God the Father loves them with the same unconditional love, He loves them as they are, and He accompanies them in the same way that He does with all of us, being close by, merciful, and tender.

But commenting on the Pope’s passages, Murray questioned what Francis’ intention was when saying that “God loves homosexuals just as they are.”

“Does he mean God loves them committing acts of sodomy? I hope not, because sodomy is a mortal sin, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that it is an abomination,” warned Murray. “It’s a horrible thing. It should never be done.”

The well known priest – a canonist and priest of the Archdiocese of New York – also said the Pontiff was “spouting propaganda of the homosexual interest groups.”

“What he’s referring to as crime is sodomy,” noted Murray in response to EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo. “Sodomy was outlawed in the entire Christendom for most of history. That was done away with recently in most countries, but in African countries, those laws against sodomy continue.” (A number of saints and Fathers of the Church did in fact call for legal punishments against the practice of homosexuality.)

The Catholic Church teaches that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.”

Drawing from such aspects of Catholic morality, Murray added that “you have no right to commit sodomy. It’s an immoral act and it’s socially destructive.”

READ: Pope Francis says Church must fight anti-sodomy laws and bishops who support them need conversion

We have to preach the truth of Christ and say there is no happiness and salvation in pursuing a life that’s dedicated to committing acts of mortal sin. That is not the way you’re supposed to live.

That’s the message of the Church, it’s always been that message.

Under Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in 1986, the Vatican issued a document instructing bishops on the pastoral care of homosexual persons. The text admonished bishops to ensure they, and any “pastoral programme” in the diocese, are “clearly stating that homosexual activity is immoral.”

Ratzinger’s text outlined that an authentic pastoral approach would “assist homosexual persons at all levels of the spiritual life: through the sacraments, and in particular through the frequent and sincere use of the sacrament of Reconciliation, through prayer, witness, counsel and individual care.”

But it also noted that all those involved in providing such pastoral care must be clear about the Church’s teaching, since “departure from the Church’s teaching, or silence about it, in an effort to provide pastoral care is neither caring nor pastoral. Only what is true can ultimately be pastoral. The neglect of the Church’s position prevents homosexual men and women from receiving the care they need and deserve.

“Therefore special concern and pastoral attention should be directed toward those who have this condition, lest they be led to believe that the living out of this orientation in homosexual activity is a morally acceptable option. It is not.”

A prior 1975 document from the Vatican, Persona Humana, reads: “There can be no true promotion of man’s dignity unless the essential order of his nature is respected.”

Through his regular audiences and meetings with notable LGBT advocates – such as Father James Martin SJ and New Ways Ministry – Pope Francis has given much hope to such activists that Church teaching on homosexuality could be up for change in the future.

Drawing on this undercurrent, leading prelates have suggested that the Catechism should have its language on homosexuality changed in order to be more welcoming and less “hurtful.”

Though he has stipulated that Catholic teaching only admits marriage between a man and a woman, Francis has controversially defended civil unions for same-sex “couples” as well as authorizing the blessing of same-sex “couples” who present themselves together for such a blessing."

End of very disturbing -- and revealing --article!

Please pray for the defeat of these modernist monsters -- and for their conversion to the Catholic faith!

Fascinating (Facts?): "...Our Lord Jesus Christ Was Crucified On The Exact Site Where Adam Was Buried!

After you read and listen to the contents of this article from lifesitenews.com and written by John-Henry Westen, I think you'll agree that these data are more than mere speculation or conjecture!

Fact-checking Mel Gibson on Joe Rogan - LifeSite

"(LifeSiteNews) — Catholic filmmaker Mel Gibson, in his recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, claimed that our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified on the exact site where Adam was buried.

Where did Gibson get that claim from, and is it true?

In this video, I draw on the writings of Church Fathers like Origen, St. Jerome, and St. Epiphanius, as well as the mystical visions reported by Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, to explain the connection between Calvary and the burial site of our first parent.

Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich vividly describes in her visions the connection between the crucifixion of Jesus and the burial place of Adam. Below are relevant quotes from her writings, particularly The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. These excerpts align with her mystical revelations but may not be verbatim due to differences in translations and editions:

1. Connection between Calvary and Adam’s burial

“I saw the place where Adam was buried. It was directly beneath the spot where the Cross of Jesus stood. I saw Jesus’ blood trickling down and falling upon Adam’s bones, cleansing them.”

2. Symbolism of redemption

“The Redeemer died in the very place where death first entered the world. Golgotha, the hill of the skull, was named for Adam, whose skull lay buried beneath.”

3. Jesus’ blood and Adam’s redemption

“The blood of the Savior ran down through the cracks in the earth, reaching the grave of Adam. I saw this as the profound fulfillment of redemption, the cleansing of mankind beginning at its source.”

Origen of Alexandria (c. 184–253 AD) is one of the earliest theologians to mention the tradition linking Adam’s burial with the site of Christ’s crucifixion at Golgotha. While Origen’s writings do not explicitly contain a systematic account of this tradition, his commentaries and teachings allude to it in a symbolic and theological context. Below are relevant excerpts and references attributed to Origen:

1. On Adam’s skull at Golgotha

2. Theological symbolism of Golgotha

“Christ’s blood shed on the cross sanctified the earth, and in particular, the place of the skull, symbolically bringing life where death reigned through Adam.” (Paraphrased from Homilies on Exodus and other writings)

3. Spiritual renewal

“The location of the crucifixion is no accident but a sign that the salvation offered by Christ reaches back to the beginning of humanity, redeeming Adam’s fall.” (Commentary on the Gospel of John)

Epiphanius of Salamis (c. 310–403 AD), a prominent early Church Father, addressed the tradition that Jesus was crucified at Golgotha, the very site where Adam was believed to be buried. In his work Panarion, he states:

“Our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified on Golgotha, nowhere else than where Adam’s body lay buried. For after leaving Paradise, living opposite it for a long time and growing old, Adam later came and died in this place, I mean Jerusalem, and was buried there, on the site of Golgotha.”

This passage reflects the early Christian tradition that connected the site of Christ’s crucifixion with Adam’s burial place, symbolizing the redemption of humanity from the original sin introduced by Adam.

Additionally, Epiphanius mentions:

“Adam died there and was buried there, and Adam’s remains are pointed out in Golgotha… And Jesus Christ rose from the dead in this place, Adam’s resting place.”

St. Jerome (c. 347–420 AD), one of the most influential Church Fathers, also referenced the tradition that Golgotha, the place of Jesus’ crucifixion, was the burial site of Adam. His writings incorporate this tradition, tying it to theological reflections on redemption. Below are relevant references attributed to Jerome:

1. On Adam’s burial at Golgotha

“Golgotha, the place of the skull, is called so because the skull of the first man, Adam, is said to have been buried there. And thus, as Christ died for all men, His blood fell upon the place of Adam’s grave, symbolizing the redemption of all mankind from the sin of Adam.” (Commentary on Matthew 27:33)

2. Theological symbolism of the crucifixion

“Christ was crucified on the very site where death first entered the world, so that as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” (Epistle to Eustochium)

3. The Place of the Skull

“The name Golgotha derives from the skull of Adam, buried there according to ancient tradition. Christ’s sacrifice fulfilled what was begun in Adam, reversing the curse and restoring grace.” (Letter 46)

The Place of the Skull (Golgotha)

“They came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of the Skull).” (Matthew 27:33, Mark 15:22, Luke 23:33, John 19:17)

From “The Place of the Skull: Memory and Myth in the Chapel of Adam” by Theresa May:

Last spring, entering the Holy Sepulcher for the first time, I felt none of that tumultuous thrill of recognition as I stepped into the quiet, unadorned, and unfrequented chapel that claims to house the bones of that “blood relation.” As crowds of pilgrims hurried to venerate the rock of Golgotha in the chapel above, I gazed at the crack in the wall where a reddish hue lingers from the blood that ran down from a Cross and onto the skull of the first created human being—or so the legend goes.

Dating in some form to the seventh century, the Chapel of Adam lies directly beneath Golgotha, built into and around the cracked stone that forms the hill where the Gospels record the crucifixion and death of Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews.

From Bein Harim Tourism Services:

Adam’s Skull

The name Calvary or Golgotha means “Place of the Skull” which could refer to the shape of the hill, the execution site, or Adam’s skull buried below. This location inspired the liturgical image of a skull at the foot of Christ’s cross. The skull at the foot of Christ’s cross reminds us that man’s redemption was brought by Christ’s death and resurrection. Jewish tradition also holds that Adam’s skull was buried here. According to Exodus 14:18, Noah passed the skull to his son, Shem, and then to Melchizedek, the priest-king of Jerusalem who buried Adam’s remains at the foot of Golgotha.  The tomb of Melchizedek once lay in the cave but was destroyed by fire in 1808. The site is sometimes called the Chapel of Melchizedek.

Hill of Golgotha Above and The Cave of Adam Below

Today the Cave of Adam and the Hill of Golgotha are within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and no longer resemble a cave or a hill. Since the 4th century, chapels have marked these sacred locations. Fission in the rock of Golgotha runs vertically directly down to the Chapel of Adam below.  Tradition holds that when Christ was crucified at Calvary there was an earthquake (Matthew 27:51) that split the Rock of Calvary.  Christ’s blood then trickled down the rock along the crack onto Adam’s remains buried below. The blood of the Savior redeeming Adam from original sin, as it redeems all mankind. This site connects the First Adam with the second or New Adam (Jesus)."

Study: Nearly 400 Million Christians Persecuted Globally, Islamism And Communism Main Drivers!!!

We are talking about a real red martyrdom here...

With all the complaining about public and private issues affecting our country, we have, so far, escaped a Jihad (holy war) against those of us who are Catholic/Christian.

We can go to Mass/Church.  We can pray in public if we wish.  We can worship our good God and Lord the way He wants to be worshiped without being subject to state interference (so far, that is).  We can attend the traditional Latin Mass of the ages (but that is being severely restricted by the enemies from within).  We hope and pray that our new leaders will be more God-fearing than the last anti-Christ apostates who have occupied the Oval Office over the past four years, etc...

With being said, we also must acknowledge that attacks on churches including vandalism, and outright destruction is not unheard of in the land of the free and the home of the brave, and the lack of arrests and trials further emboldens those responsible for such crimes.

In various parts of the Islamic and communist dominated countries -- especially Red China and North Korea -- Christian persecution and martyrdom has been increasing as this report from the Christian aid organization Open Doors published its annual World Watch List, sadly indicates.

From an article from breitbart.com and written by Frances Martel

Study: Nearly 400 Million Christians Persecuted Globally, Islamism and Communism Main Drivers

"The Christian aid organization Open Doors published its annual World Watch List – a ranking of the most dangerous places in the world to practice the Christian faith – on Wednesday, which found that 380 million Christians around the world face severe persecution.

Christian persecution – which Open Doors defines as “any hostile action toward a person or community motivated by their identification with the person of Jesus Christ” – is particularly prevalent in countries with widespread Islamist terrorism or run by communist regimes. Of the top ten countries on the World Watch List, Islamic radicalism is the driver of persecution in eight of them, while the other two, North Korea and Eritrea, are under the yoke of communist regimes.

Of the 380 million Christians facing persecution, in many cases including deadly attacks, 310 million of them are in the top ten nations on the list. Half of these countries are in Africa and three are in the Middle East. Afghanistan is in South Asia; North Korea is an outlier in the Far East region, though bordering the number 15 country on the list, its longtime patron China.

The number of Christians facing violence, displacement, arrest, sexual violence, or other persecution around the world has steadily increased throughout the 2020s. This year’s tally is 20 million more Christians than the total Open Doors identified in the 2022 edition of its study. In 2020, Open Doors estimated that 260 million Christians faced “high levels of persecution.”

The 2025 edition of the World Watch List covers the events of 2024 – which included a rapid increase in radical Islamic terrorism in the African Sahel region, the spread of Chinese influence in several top repressor countries, and the seizure of power in Syria by the al-Qaeda affiliate Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

Open Doors World Watch List 2025

Map courtesy of Open Doors

North Korea has been the most dangerous country in the world to practice Christianity on the Open Doors list 23 times since the organization began publishing its annual study in 1991. It has taken the top title in most years of the past decade with the notable exception being the 2022 list – which covers the events of 2021, when the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. The country is run by a totalitarian communist regime in which citizens are forced to worship the ruling Kim family as gods.

“If your Christian faith is discovered in North Korea, you will either be immediately executed or deported to a horrendous labor camp that few survive,”  Open Doors detailed. “The Kim regime relies on tightly controlling people’s behavior and beliefs. In early 2024, they announced stricter regulations against outside influences. It has been reported that about 30 teenagers were executed just for watching a South Korean drama last year.”

Despite this, Open Doors estimates that as many as 400,000 people persist in worshipping Jesus in North Korea.

Africa has surfaced as a major focal point in the fight against religious intolerance.

“According to Open Doors research, over 90% of Christians killed for their faith last year were in sub-Saharan Africa, and 3,100 believers were killed in Nigeria alone,” the organization noted, adding that many of the countries facing the most intense persecution are also home to large Christian populations.

“Nigeria, for example, has the biggest church auditoriums in the world. But that is in the south,” Open Doors observed. “In the north (and increasingly, the central) regions, Christians are in a minority, and radical Islamic groups, like Boko Haram, and Fulani militants can create havoc.”

Almost half, about 46 percent, of Nigeria is believed to be Christian.

The Sahel region, where several governments have fallen to sudden military coups under pressure from Islamist terrorists, has also seen an increase in Christian persecution. Chad appeared on the World Watch List this year for the first time, and countries such as Burkina Faso and Mali have become focal points of jihadist attacks on Christians.

In several Muslim countries on the persecution list, including number two Somalia, persecution takes the form not just of state oppression or terrorist violence but violence and isolation by Muslim families against Christian converts.

“Even at home, any suspicion you have come to faith in Christ can result in house arrest, forced marriage or threats to your life from your own family,” Open Doors observed on Somalia.

An outlier in Africa is Eritrea, where communism, rather than Islamism, is responsible for top-down repression of Christianity. In 2024, Open Doors noted, “government security forces have conducted house-to-house raids, sending hundreds of Christians to the notorious, inhumane prisons.”

“Eritrea is often called the ‘North Korea of Africa’ – phone calls and internet usage are heavily monitored, and Christians suffer the most,” it added.

Eritrea is run by a one-party Marxist dictatorship under the People’s Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ) party. The country works closely with communist China, which has helped it expand its repressive technology and surveillance apparatus used to persecute Christians.

China itself appeared as number 15 on the list, slightly lower than other states due to the absence of Islamist violence and the existence of an “official” Christian church that only offers communist propaganda. Other notable countries on the list include India at number 11, where Hindu nationalism fuels repression; Iraq and Syria at 17 and 18, where Turkish jihadist proxies threaten Christians in Kurdish areas; and Yemen at number three, where the expansion of Houthi terrorism has made practicing the faith nearly impossible."
