An 88-year-old man who has "overcome" double pneumonia, needing oxygen to keep breathing, etc., etc.. Plus, there are news reports that Francis will have to "re-learn how to talk"!  

And is now going back to the Vatican?

"VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis will return to the Vatican Sunday, his doctors announced Saturday, but will require two months of convalescence.

In a surprise press conference Saturday evening, doctors leading the treatment of Pope Francis announced that he will make a return to the Casa Santa Martha on Sunday – the Vatican guest house in which he has lived for his entire pontificate.

He will greet crowds from his hospital window and give a blessing, before then departing for the Vatican.

Doctors stressed that he will require two months of convalescence and will be taking medication for some time.

They added that the Pope has been in a “stable” condition for two weeks, and as such they are happy for him to leave the hospital. They also warn about the danger of Francis contracting an infection the longer he remains there.

As such, he will continue with his therapy back in the Vatican, including physical and respiratory therapy. According to the doctors, Francis has recovered from the double pneumonia which he was diagnosed with a few days after being admitted to the hospital.

His voice – so noticeably strained in the only voice recording issued on March 6 – will take time to get back to normal, doctors say. But they attested that it is much improved since the time of that recording.

Doctors stated today that Francis nearly lost his life twice during his time in the hospital, confirming reports which had circulated about the Pope’s condition. Indeed, Dr. Sergio Alfieri, who leads the Pope’s medical team, said that when Francis was hospitalized February 14 “presented [with] an acute respiratory failure,” which led to “severe” double pneumonia.

However, Francis was never intubated, his doctors confirmed, notwithstanding the seriousness of his condition.

Francis has already been working in the hospital and will continue to work at the Vatican, but with a very small circle of advisers in order to limit the risk of infection. However, doctors say that over time he will return to interacting with larger groups.

His participation in the Easter ceremonies will be decided upon closer to time, depending on his condition. Already though, Francis is due to meet with King Charles III at the Vatican on April 8.

Rumors had emerged in Italian media less than two weeks ago about the Casa Santa Martha being prepared for Francis to return, but Vatican officials downplayed them at the time, saying there were no plans for the Pope to leave hospital.

Throughout the entire hospitalization – now 36 days long – the doctors have been notably cautious and reserved about issuing information more than the carefully prepared medical bulletins.

For many years Francis has assembled a medical team around him, including nurse Massimiliano Strappetti whom Francis has credited with saving his life. It is likely this team who will be handling the Pope’s care on a daily basis, while liaising with the Gemelli Hospital specialists as necessary.

Even before his February 14 hospital admission for bronchitis, Francis’ mobility had been notably declining.

At the December 7 consistory to create cardinals, Francis appeared with a very visible bruise on his chin. The mark was explained by the press office as being due to a minor fall that the Pope had on the previous morning, when he hit his chin on his bedside table.

Then, in mid-January, the Pope had another fall which this time led to his using a sling on his right arm for a few days."

"(LifeSiteNews) — On Saturday, March 22, Cardinal Raymond Burke will celebrate a Holy Mass at St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing, Michigan, in remembrance of Terri Schiavo, whose tragic death by starvation 20 years ago sparked a nationwide debate on euthanasia and the rights of patients to receive basic care. 

As part of this year’s 20th anniversary commemoration, a special exhibition will be held at the St. Mary Cathedral Parish Center, showcasing Terri’s story through her artwork, photographs, and media mementos. The exhibit will also feature educational displays addressing the misinformation surrounding her case and provide an opportunity for visitors to meet her family. Following the exhibition, Cardinal Burke will celebrate the Holy Mass at 4 p.m., honoring Terri’s memory and advocating for the dignity of all human life.

Terri Schiavo, a 26-year-old woman, collapsed at home in 1990 and was diagnosed with a severe brain injury. According to Terri’s parents and Dr. William Hammesfahr, Terri was not in a coma but in a minimally conscious state. She responded to her family and even opened her eyes on command. Despite this, her husband, Michael Schiavo, sought to have her feeding tube removed, and on March 18, 2005, the court order was carried out.

Terri was starved to death over 13 agonizing days before passing away on March 31, despite numerous appeals and protests from her family and hundreds of supporters. A year before she was killed, Pope John Paul II clearly stated, “Death by starvation or dehydration is, in fact, the only possible outcome as a result of their withdrawal. In this sense it ends up becoming, if done knowingly and willingly, true and proper euthanasia by omission.”

In response to this injustice, the Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Network was founded by Terri’s family to promote the dignity of human life, particularly for those suffering from brain injuries. Bobby Schindler, Terri’s brother and president of the organization, stated:

My family established the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network and a 24/7 National Crisis Lifeline twenty years ago to assist families facing the same fate as Terri but also to increase awareness of these government policies taking away a patient and family’s rights. Unfortunately, in these last twenty years, the world has become even more hostile toward a patient’s right to life-affirming care.

A Moral And Spiritual Disaster In The Novus Ordo, Synodal "Church": Majority Of US Catholics Now Support Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ And Abortion, Pew Research Finds!!!

If this is true -- and Pew Research has been pretty accurate over the years -- we are looking at a massive apostasy from the Catholic Faith and the true Magisterium and the Deposit of Faith!

This, of course, means that our good God is now in "second place" among those surveyed, placing the Zeitgeist in first place, if you will...

A true moral and spiritual disaster that has infected the new, novus ordo, synodal "church" over the last 12 years since the installation of the current Bishop of Rome, Bergoglio, and his henchmen (hitmen!) who have implemented the tenets of the Ape of the church, Satan, and his accursed plan to destroy the true Church of Christ.

Remember, the vision of good Pope Leo XIII revealing the dialogue between the head demon, Satan, and Our Lord?  

Satan said he could destroy the church in 100 years, so Our Lord granted him that time frame, knowing, of course, that the gates of hell would never prevail against His true Church, the church of the Elect, the Remnant! 

If anyone reads Scripture -- and we Catholics should do at least some readings of Scripture on a daily basis! -- you will see that a false church was predicted along with false Christs and false shepherds tearing apart the unprotected flock!

"(Corpus Christi for Unity and Peace) — The U.S. Catholic Church stands at a crossroads, marked by an aging flock, a growing immigrant presence, and a devastating erosion of faith and morals.

The Pew Religious Landscape Study (RLS) for Catholics from 2007, 2014, and 2023-24 offers a sobering glimpse into this crisis for traditional Catholics rooted in the Magisterium’s truths: for every 100 Catholics entering, 800 Catholics leave, prayer is declining, belief in God is plummeting, and a super majority supports issues deemed morally evil by the Church – demographically propped up by immigrants yet spiritually adrift.

While the sharp declines from 2007 to 2014 have slowed by 2023-24, the downward trend persists, demanding urgent reflection.

Demographics: An aging Church with a growing immigrant base

The demographic profile of Catholics shows both continuity and change. The age distribution tilts older, with the 18-29 age group dropping from 17 percent in 2014 to 14 percent in 2023-24, while those 65 and older rose from 20 percent to 28 percent. This aging trend signals a failure to retain youth, who are bombarded by a culture hostile to faith.

It is supported by significant funding collected by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for migrants during the Biden administration.

The U.S. Church is catering to immigrants, with 29 percent now foreign-born (up from 23 percent in 2007), a shift that challenges its ability to maintain orthodoxy amid secular pressures. This growth, largely driven by Hispanic communities, has shifted the racial makeup, with whites now just 54 percent (down from 64 percent in 2007) and other races at 45 percent.

It is supported by the $634 million and $1.7 billion collected by the USCCB and Catholic Charities, respectively, for migrants during the Biden administration. These demographic shifts raise questions about the Church’s spiritual vitality, particularly as prayer wanes.

The dramatic drop in prayer: A spiritual catastrophe

Perhaps the most devastating finding is the collapse of prayer. In 2007, 58 percent of Catholics prayed daily; in 2014, 59 percent; but by 2023-24, it plummeted to 51 percent.

This 8-point drop in a decade is a spiritual catastrophe – prayer is the lifeline to God, the source of grace, and the shield against sin. The rise in “seldom/never” praying (18 percent in 2023-24, up from 13 percent in 2014 and 2007) reveals a growing indifference to the divine, a rejection of Christ’s command to “pray always” (Luke 18:1).

Weekly/monthly prayer rose to 31 percent (from 27 percent in 2014), but this tepid substitute cannot replace the daily intimacy with God that Catholic tradition demands. The failure to retain young Catholics (18-29 dropping to 14 percent) mirrors this prayer collapse.

Without prayer, the faithful are defenseless against the assaults of a godless culture and Satan himself, and the Church risks becoming a hollow shell. What is perplexing is the finding that 69 percent say they believe in hell, up from 63 percent in 2014 and 60 percent in 2007 – why fear eternal punishment yet neglect the prayer that guards against it?

Archbishop Fulton Sheen emphasized prayer’s vital role, famously asking, “Could you not watch one hour with me?” His daily Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament offers a model for resilience against a toxic culture, strengthening the Body of Christ and helping us align with God’s will.

Failure to pray distances us from God until we no longer believe in Him.

Belief in God and importance of religion: Startling declines

The erosion of belief in God and the importance of religion is equally startling.

In 2007, 72 percent were absolutely certain of God’s existence; this fell to 64 percent in 2014 and 62 percent in 2023-24. The 10-point drop since 2007 is a seismic shift – how can a Catholic, professing the Creed, waver on the reality of the Almighty? Those not absolutely certain rose from 25 percent in 2007 to 34 percent in 2023-24, signaling a creeping doubt that undermines the faith’s foundation.

Worse still, the percentage who say religion is “very important” crashed from 56 percent in 2007 and 58 percent in 2014 to 44 percent in 2023-24 – a 14-point plunge in a decade. This collapse reflects a lukewarmness condemned by Scripture (Revelation 3:16), as Catholics trade the eternal for the ephemeral.

The “not too/not at all important” category almost doubled from 9 percent in 2007 to 17 percent in 2023-24, a grim testament to secularization’s triumph. One cannot ignore the likely irreparable harm caused by closing the churches during COVID. Closing churches during COVID, often for months, deepened this disconnect, signaling to the faithful that the Eucharist and Mass do not matter.

This spiritual decline paves the way for moral compromises.

Societal and political views: A betrayal of Catholic truth

In 2023-24, the societal and political stances of Catholics reveal a deep surrender to secular pressures

Note the growing acceptance of non-heterosexual identities (only 89 percent identify as straight) mirrors the surge in support for same-sex marriage which follows.

Support for same-sex marriage has surged to 70 percent (up from 57 percent in 2014), standing in stark opposition to the Church’s firm doctrine that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman. The blame lies squarely with the clergy, who have stayed either utterly mute on the sin of sodomy or advocated for acceptance – one of the four sins crying out to heaven for vengeance. They are leading souls astray, a grave responsibility before God.

Abortion, the most profound violation of life’s sanctity, is now supported as legal in all or most cases by 59 percent of Catholics (up from 48 percent in both 2014 and 2007), defying the Catechism’s unwavering protection of the unborn. Yet, while bishops loudly decry immigration week after week, where are the steady drumbeat of homilies, bulletin notices, texts, and emails condemning the mortal sin of abortion? Absent – and this is the gravest sin of all. Shame on the bishops for permitting this seismic shift in Catholic attitudes over the past decade.

Politically, conservatives hold steady at 36 percent (similar to 36-37 percent in prior years), but the rise of moderates to 42 percent (from 36 percent in 2014) and the drop in liberals to 18 percent (from 22 percent) suggest a muddled middle ground, unwilling to take a firm stand for truth. This is the go along to get along crowd.

While the U.S. Church is catering to immigrants, 41 percent of Catholics view this growth as a “change for the worse” in 2023-24 (up from 33 percent in 2014), revealing a disconnect with the faithful – a disconnect deepened by the USCCB and Catholic Charities, who seem oblivious to frustrations over lenient border policies, illegal immigration, and the surge in child and drug trafficking worsened by their actions.

Even more troubling, 62 percent in 2023-24 say morality doesn’t require belief in God, a radical departure from the Catholic insistence that true virtue flows from divine grace.

On evolution, only 17 percent affirm humans existed in their present form since the beginning, while 55 percent accept a “God-guided” process – a compromise with secular science that dilutes Genesis’ literal truth, undermining the Church’s authority on creation.

These shifts betray a Church infiltrated by the spirit of the age, forsaking the narrow path for the broad road of cultural approval.

Conclusion: A call to repentance, reparation, and renewal

From a traditional Catholic perspective, these results – especially the rise in imported Catholics since 2007, the 8-point drop in daily prayer, and the double-digit declines in firm belief and religious importance since 2007 and 2014 – herald a Church at a crossroads.

Demographics show an aging, more immigrant-driven flock, but the real crisis is spiritual and moral. Catholics are abandoning prayer, doubting God, and embracing sins like abortion and same-sex “marriage,” all while deeming religion less vital. Bishops and priests must lead the charge. Clearly Modernism is not working. The Church must reclaim its former beauty, reinforce daily prayer and renewed catechesis, preach orthodoxy, and guide the faithful back to tradition.

Only a radical return to Christ, coupled with steadfast preservation and teaching of the Deposit of Faith, can restore the Bride of Christ to her full glory."

Cardinal Burke Speaks: ‘Confusion And Error’ Increasingly ‘Enslave The Church And Society’!

"VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Cardinal Raymond Burke has urged Catholics to live the “Way of the Cross” in order to “combat the confusion and error” that increasingly “enslave the Church and society.”

In a brief statement issued via social media platform X, Cardinal Burke urged a more faithful practice of the season of Lent in order to “combat” trials in both the Catholic Church and wider society:

“Soldiers of Christ, we are called to combat the confusion and error which more and more enslave the Church and society, in general, by following ever more intently and wholeheartedly the Way of the Cross.”

During a recent interview with LifeSiteNews in Rome, Burke expanded on this theme of ecclesial confusion.

“Well, there’s no question that objectively there is a pervasive confusion and even error in the Church and therefore a pervasive division in the Church in our time,” he said. “Many devout Catholics have become very discouraged, because at the highest level in the Church there is urgent need of the exercise of the Petrine Office and the Episcopal Office to serve unity by teaching the truth, by insisting on the sound discipline of the Church.”

Urging Catholics to remain in the Catholic Church, Burke recalled the Church’s history of enduring persecution and strife within Her members:

We have to, as St. Paul says so well in his letter to St. Timothy, we have to fight the good fight. We have to keep the faith. St. Paul says it, too, at the beginning of the letter to the Galatians. He said that even if an angel from Heaven would arrive telling you something different from what you have been taught, let that angel be accursed.

In other words, if somebody who has a high title or a high position of authority within the Church says something which is not in accord with what our Lord is teaching us in the Church, then we simply have to reject it.

The American cardinal has regularly issued calls to action for Catholics to adhere to, and promote, traditional Church teaching in light of growing confusion over doctrine and morals. Particularly notably, he signed both the initial dubia on Amoris Laetitia released in 2016 and then the 2023 dubia on issues pertaining to the Synod on Synodality.

He has also been an outspoken critic of the liturgical and doctrinal upheaval that has taken place in recent decades, with the cardinal regularly decrying the loss of understanding and practice of the Catholic faith after the Second Vatican Council.

In December 2024, he celebrated the conclusion of a nine-month Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Shrine, a spiritual endeavor that he had invoked in response to the amassed “crises of our age.”

Then delivering a homily later that month in honor of Mother Angelica, Burke commented that the pioneering nun worked in a time “when a lethal materialism and secularism, the work of Satan, ‘a murderer from the beginning’ and ‘the father of lies,’ had crept into the life of the Church. With all the guile of Satan, the servants of the culture of lies and death attempted to relativize and erode the truths of the faith.”

One particular cause of international controversy in the Church in recent months has been Pope Francis’ comments during his Asian tour in September.

Addressing a group of young people of various creeds in Singapore, Francis left aside his prepared speech and urged that no religion be given priority but that individuals instead focus on parity between beliefs. He also declared that each religion is a means to attain God.

In a homily delivered on Epiphany this year, Burke issued what appeared as an indirect rejoinder to the Pope’s comments.

He urged Catholics to “pray for unwavering faith in Our Lord, God and man, Who alone is our salvation, and in His Mystical Body, the Church.”

“The truth of the Redemptive Incarnation which has been under attack by heretics from the first years of the life of the Church,” he said. “It continues to be under attack today by those who would render the Faith an ideology and the Church a merely human institution.”

In November 2014, Pope Francis removed the cardinal from his position as prefect of the Apostolic Signatura in a move widely seen as a punishment for his criticism of elements of Francis’ pontificate. He then served in the largely ceremonial role of Patron of the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta until being replaced by Francis’ favored canon lawyer, Cardinal Gianfranco Ghirlanda, S.J."

Another Sign Of The Depravity And Heresies Of The Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (LA REC)!!

 Another in-your-face prime example of the depravity and heterodoxy of the new, novus ordo, synodal "church": Homosexual, heretic, "Fr." J. Martin was invited to speak at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (LA REC), which took place from February 20 to 23. This event is billed as “the nation’s largest annual gathering of Roman Catholics.”

How much longer will the Arm of our good, Almighty God be restrained by the direct intercession of His most Blessed Mother -- and our Mother! -- before He unleashes another torrent of hellfire the likes of which has not been seen since the total destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for committing the sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance?

"ANAHEIM, California (Tradition, Family, Property) — Father James Martin, S.J., has gained notoriety for promoting homosexual sin within the Catholic Church. He travels across the country, giving talks that attempt to build a bridge between Catholics and behaviors explicitly condemned by the Catechism.

However, it is not every day that the “Rainbow Jesuit” speaks at an event attended by over 30,000 people.

That is precisely what happened this past weekend.

Martin was invited to speak at the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (LA REC), which took place from February 20 to 23. This event is billed as “the nation’s largest annual gathering of Roman Catholics.”

This year, Martin delivered two talks – one of them unabashedly titled “LGBTQ Catholic Update.” Other presentations also raised serious concerns, such as “What Can the Church Learn from the LGBTQ Catholic Community?” and “How Can We Recognize Jesus in the Wounds of LGBTQ Catholics?”

These talks, and others like them, do not merely raise questions – they actively promote sinful ideas that endanger souls.

In response, the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) mobilized.

TFP member and protest leader Michael Whitcraft explaining the TFP’s flyer to a priest.

On February 21, five TFP members and several supporters gathered outside the Anaheim Convention Center for a prayer protest. They stood for three hours, distributing flyers and engaging in conversations with LA REC attendees.

This rally stood apart from typical TFP protests. Usually, attendees of such events react with hostility toward peaceful protesters. However, at the LA REC, the majority of attendees were supportive of the TFP’s message.

Many were shocked to learn about the sins being promoted inside. Attendance at the LA REC is mandatory for all educators within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, meaning some participants were unaware of the event’s agenda beforehand.

Upon discovering that some speakers were pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, and supported women’s ordination, many attendees expressed immediate outrage.

One woman asserted: “Thank you for this flyer. I will definitely make sure to avoid those talks!”

Another woman told Slobodnik, “I hope they don’t promote any of that stuff at the talks I attend. If they do, I’ll have to stand up and yell, ‘I disagree with that!’ What’s the worst they can do to me? Put me in prison?”

The TFP volunteers were heartened to see many priests, religious brothers, and nuns stop to express their gratitude. One religious sister from Miami said, “God bless you all. The work you are doing here is really necessary.”

Several attendees recognized the TFP capes and banners. One young man, on the phone with a friend, looked up and saw a TFP member handing out flyers. He exclaimed, “No way! I watch your videos all the time!” He promptly hung up and asked for a picture with the volunteer.

There was some opposition, but it was negligible. A few passersby muttered comments under their breath, such as, “You all should be wearing T-shirts and shorts.”

The bolder detractors simply refused the flyer and voiced their disapproval but declined to engage in discussion.

One of the TFP’s key assets during the rally was the presence of a bagpiper. The music served as an excellent conversation starter, drawing curious passersby who inquired about the protest. It quickly became evident why the TFP frequently uses bagpipes at its rallies.

Once the lunch break ended, the peaceful protesters recited the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary in reparation for the sins being promoted at the conference.

By the time the prayer protest concluded, the TFP had distributed nearly 1,000 leaflets, ensuring that many LA REC attendees were warned about the subversive doctrines being promoted inside.

Why protesting the LA REC matters

The success of the TFP’s protest was evident. The message was clear and reached thousands. Countless LA REC attendees were given insight into the dangerous propaganda being disseminated at the event, and many were confronted with the urgent need to defend the true teachings of the Church.

Most importantly, faithful Catholics stood as witnesses, offering reparation for the offenses against God being committed at the event. The Church teaches that homosexuality is a “sin that cries to heaven for vengeance.” The gravity of this sin is magnified when it is promoted within the very structure of the Church, as was the case at the LA REC.

The protest in Anaheim was a powerful act of atonement. Our Lord was surely consoled by the devotion and courage of those who participated in the public rally. They were not concerned with being shamed or ridiculed. They understood that a public act of reparation was necessary, no matter how “uncomfortable” it might be.

Protest leader and TFP member Michael Whitcraft explained:

We need to reject the errors of today, but not just within the comfort of our homes. We need to fight against them in the public square because God is now being attacked in the public square. If we want to make reparation for public sins, we need to make public reparation. As we have seen time and time again, protests do work. That’s why today’s protest matters."
