Live In Florida? Watch Out! (Catholic) Gov. DeSantis "...Signs ‘Unconstitutional,’ ‘Immoral’ Law During ‘Humiliation’ Ritual In Israel..."

Is free speech dead in the "great" state of Florida?

It is, especially when it comes to any -- any! -- criticism of Zionist Israel.

I'm going to present an article that was posted on lifesitenews.com and written by Patrick DelaneyFri Jan 9, 2026 - 6:57 pm EST: (For the entire article, go here.) Tucker Carlson denounces Florida’s ‘hate speech’ law criminalizing criticism of Israel - LifeSite.

This article will show the horrendous influence and power of the Zionist lobby in the state legislature of the state of Florida!

"(LifeSiteNews) — Within a broader discussion regarding threats to free speech across the Western world on Thursday, Tucker Carlson focused on Florida’s “antisemitism” law that criminalizes criticism of Israel or its advocates in the United States.

During an interview with former Fox News hostess and podcaster Megyn Kelly, Carlson expressed amazement on how “a bunch of different states, including Florida,” have “codified antisemitism as a crime. They’ve defined it in a way that is so expansive that criticism of Israel is (considered) ‘antisemitic.’ The claim that someone is ‘Israel first’ is a crime in the state of Florida,” he said with amazement.

Expressing how many of these laws seemed to go unnoticed, he lamented, “I think we’re going to wake up one morning with European hate crimes laws written in a way that is not fair at all, that doesn’t affect justice.”

READ: How the ‘antisemitism industry’ became the biggest threat to freedom in the West

In a Friday interview with Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback, Carlson recalled his admiration for Gov. Ron DeSantis but how his foreign policy priorities made him question the level of influence Zionist donors had over his policies.

“Then he had this moment where he … flew to a foreign country, Israel, to sign a hate speech law for Florida,” the former Fox News flagship host recalled. “This is obviously unconstitutional, it’s immoral, but it’s also part of an elaborate humiliation where you have to go, (and) not just enslave your own people with a hate speech law — which that is, it’s slavery — but you have to go kiss someone else’s wall to show your obedience.”

At this point, he indicated DeSantis lost his support.

‘Insurrection’ proper response to loss of free speech

In his Thursday monologue raising alarm regarding the loss of free speech, Carlson highlighted a clip of Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, who stated in a recent interview after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

You have a right to free speech, but you don’t have the right to harm other people with your words. And you don’t have the right to say things that have really negative, really horrible meanings. When you want people to destroy Israel, that matters.

Carlson lampooned, “Oh, you don’t have the right to say things that people in charge don’t like. You don’t? That’s the whole point (of free speech)! If you don’t have that right, you are a slave and Jay Collins is your master.”

“Of course, you can call for the destruction of any foreign country you want. It’s a staple on Fox News. Lindsey Graham does it every single day. You just can’t call for the destruction of Israel. That’s a crime,” Carlson mocked.

Affirming it is not a crime to make such statements, the pundit said that “it may be an ugly opinion. It may be an unsustainable argument. You may be an idiot, but you have a God given right to that opinion and a God given right to express it.”

“And again, if they try and take that away, you need to have an insurrection against the government because you’re done at that point,” Carlson warned. “An insurrection against the government (is necessary) if they try and take away your right to say what you think, (and) your right to your own conscience. Period.”

“It’s fine to attack America, but you can’t attack Israel,” he lampooned again.

Kelly, who is also an attorney, affirmed Carlson, saying he was “spot-on” and then went on to respond directly to Collins’ statement “you don’t have the right to harm other people with your words.”

On the contrary, “I absolutely do!” Kelly celebrated with laughter. “And it’s actually what makes us fundamentally American. It’s awesome! I have every right to insult you, to speak hatefully about you. And it’s glorious! It’s what makes it wonderful to live here.”

“The First Amendment, of course, is there to protect hate speech. Hate speech is not only constitutional, it’s written right in there that you can say the most hateful things possible,” she confirmed. “Sorry, but I can. And if you don’t like it, you’re the one who needs to move … out of the United States of America. That’s my fundamental (legal) right, to say things that offend.”

Irony: ‘Antisemitism’ laws ‘engender the very hatred’ they seek to remedy

Regarding Florida’s antisemitism law, Kelly highlighted the irony that such legislation will actually result in significant increases in antisemitic attitudes.

“So the Jews who push those laws, and there’s a lot of Jews down in Florida … they think that the answer to antisemitism — which is a problem to some extent, of course — is to get themselves recategorized as one of the protected DEI groups. And of course it’s not. The answer is to demolish DEI. The answer is to stop separating us by group,” she said.

“The more you start cracking down on people’s thought crimes against Israel, or even their antisemitism — truly, like this is America, you’re allowed to be a racist, you’re allowed to be a misogynist, (and) you’re allowed to be an antisemite,” Kelly explained. “You’re not allowed to make hiring and firing decisions based on that, but that’s not what we’re arguing over here. We’re talking about what’s in your head and your heart.”

“The more you try to criminalize that or ruin someone’s life over those thoughts, the more you engender the very hatred you say you’re objecting to,” Kelly concluded.

The end of a very revealing — and scary! -- article.

STILL Another Attempt To Force Priests To Violate The Seal Of Confession! C.J. Doyle Responds...

"The law is the latest attempt by Democrat Stacey Travers to punish priests who refuse to violate the Seal of Confession. A priest who does so incurs an automatic excommunication. Travers proposed a similar law in 2023 that ultimately died."

You have to give these nutty Democrats credit: they never give up and their hate for the Catholic Church is worn on their shirtsleeves for all to see, and the thing is, they don't care, all they want to do is to destroy, destroy, and destroy whatever is left of the priesthood!

You will see C.J. Doyle's response to this lunacy...

From lifesitenews.com and written by Matt Lamb Tue Jan 6, 2026 - 2:40 pm EST: Arizona bill could jail, fine priests $150k for refusing to violate Seal of Confession - LifeSite

"(LifeSiteNews) — A new bill in Arizona would threaten Catholic priests with massive fines and up to two years in prison if they refuse to break the sacred Seal of Confession.

The law is the latest attempt by Democrat Stacey Travers to punish priests who refuse to violate the Seal of Confession. A priest who does so incurs an automatic excommunication. Travers proposed a similar law in 2023 that ultimately died.

House Bill 2039 orders priests to report any time they learn of “ongoing abuse” or even the “threat” of abuse in the confessional. Those who fail to follow the law can be found guilty of a class 6 felony, which can carry fines up to $150,000 and two years in prison. However, that is just for a first offense. Priests who continued to violate the law, as required by Canon Law and the Catholic Church, could face years in prison.

The law also requires priests to predict what may happen in the future. While the law appears to offer a “clergy-penitent privilege,” this does not apply if “the member of the clergy, a Christian Science practitioner or a priest determines that the abuse or neglect is still occurring or will occur in the future.”

LifeSiteNews called Rep. Travers’ office on Monday and also emailed her asking about the proposed law. LifeSiteNews asked if a religious freedom expert reviewed the proposal, particularly in light of a similar law in Washington that has since been revoked following a federal ruling. Travers did not respond to this question or others about efforts she made to reach out to Catholic leaders.

LifeSiteNews also asked Travers about other potential legal difficulties with the bill, considering the Supreme Court’s recent rulings in favor of religious freedom, such as a June 2025 decision that protected the rights of parents to opt out of sexualized school curricula.

In July, a federal judge blocked a similar law in Washington, as previously reported by LifeSiteNews. The law came under scrutiny from Catholic bishops, Orthodox Catholics, and the Department of Justice.

“There is no question that SB 5375 burdens Plaintiffs’ free exercise of religion,” Judge David Estudillo concluded. “In situations where Plaintiffs hear confessions related to child abuse or neglect, SB 5375 places them in the position of either complying with the requirements of their faith or violating the law,” the federal judge wrote.

The state subsequently agreed in October to revoke the law in order to end the lawsuit.

LifeSiteNews contacted the Arizona Catholic Conference, which represents Roman Catholics and Byzantine Catholics, to ask for any plans to oppose the law or to discuss the issue with Travers. Executive Director Ron Johnson was out of the office Monday when contacted via email. A subsequent email to Johnson and a legislative assistant was not answered Tuesday morning.

LifeSiteNews called executive legislative assistant Carolina Escarcega on Tuesday afternoon but she also did not answer the phone.

‘Would not pass constitutional muster’

A Catholic leader criticized the law and said it is headed for a legal demise if passed. He also pointed out Travers has a leftist voting record, which explains her animosity toward Catholics.

Catholic Action League Executive Director CJ Doyle told LifeSiteNews:

The inevitability of a legal challenge should the Arizona legislation become law, the recent decision by the U.S. District Court in the State of Washington, and the likelihood of intervention by the U.S. Department of Justice, all supported by two centuries of common law and American jurisprudence, suggest that such a statute would not pass constitutional muster.

“The sanctity of the Seal of the Confessional – known in civil law as the priest-penitent privilege – has been upheld in American law since People v. Philips in 1813,” Doyle told LifeSiteNews in his emailed comments. The New York court case confirmed Catholic priests cannot be forced to testify about what they hear in the confessional.

Doyle said the law looks like “political posturing.”

He said Travers’ motives are clear, given that she has been endorsed by pro-abortion and pro-LGBT groups.

Doyle noted:

She has co-sponsored legislation to repeal the state’s former 15 week abortion ban; to eliminate abortion reporting requirements; to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment; to erase conscience protections for health care professionals in the provision of contraceptives; to prohibit conversion therapy; to legalize assisted suicide; and to establish same sex marriage as a right under the Arizona Constitution.

“For Travers, and other left-wing Democrats, the Catholic Church is an ideological adversary which can be vilified and discredited by portraying it as indifferent to sexual abuse,” he said. “Their motives are cynical, malicious and punitive.”

The Catholic Action League executive director called on his fellow Catholics to resist the proposal.

“Catholics must make clear that any attempt to violate the seal will be regarded as an attempt to criminalize Catholicism, which will be resisted by all appropriate means,” Doyle told LifeSiteNews.

He concluded by citing well-respected legal scholar Jonathan Turley, a Catholic, who criticized Washington for its law.

Turley, a George Washington University law professor, said such a law would violate the rights of the accused to be warned that their statements can be used against them, commonly called “Miranda rights.”

“Putting aside the unconstitutionality, it is a law ripe for abuse,” Turley wrote on his commentary website.

“The state [of Washington] would be using the church as an agent to compel confessions on the threat of damnation and then turn over the evidence to the police,” Turley said. “Worse yet, if the priest does not give a type of ministerial Miranda, the confessant may not realize the danger.”

Turley noted: “[I]t is rather hard for a priest to say that a person must confess their sin while reminding them of the right to remain silent.”'

Abortions Hit Recent High, 1.12 Million Babies Killed As Abortion Pills Flourish!

The culture of death industry continues to peddle their slaughter of the pre-born, maybe not so much in their death mills, but also through the mail, with murder pills sent mostly to "red states" whose legislators, who still have a conscience, have passed life-saving laws to protect the most vulnerable of our species -- the pre-born.

And yet, as this article from lifenews.com and written by Randall O'Bannon, Ph.D. | Jan 7, 2026, will indicate that the monstrous followers of Satan, skirt the "restrictions" of the "red states" as this news will show: Abortions Hit Recent High, 1.12 Million Babies Killed as Abortion Pills Flourish - LifeNews.com

Bottom line: these killers never, ever give up in their quest to kill the precious gift of life given to us by our Good God and, of course, defying the Natural Law!

"Since the Dobbs decision, the Guttmacher Institute has been publishing monthly abortion estimates based on data submitted from a national sample of abortionists. In the last few weeks, it has compiled these monthly totals and published a new estimate for abortions in 2024 – 1,126,970.

Guttmacher says this number reflects 1,050,660 abortions “provided by clinicians in U.S. states without a total ban in 2024″ plus an additional 76,310 “provided via telehealth to states with total bans in 2024,” according to estimates Guttmacher takes from the Society of Family Planning (SFP).

SFP does its own count of abortions and gets reports of pills ordered and shipped to pro-life states from online pill sellers from protected shield law states.

If accurate, this would reflect an increase of more than sixty thousand from the total Guttmacher reported for 2023 – 1,060,880 — although more people may have seen their original figure of 1,035,360 which did not include the 2023 telehealth abortions from 2023.

Follow LifeNews.com on Instagram for pro-life pictures and videos.

There are reasons, which we’ll get to in a minute, to think these numbers may be inflated. The important thing to note is that the vector for these reported numbers is on the upslope, continuing an upward trend that has been seen since at least 2017, when abortions hit 862,220, their lowest level since 1973.

Abortions turned upward after 2017. The estimates were going back over a million in 2022, the year Dobbs was handed down and then appear to have gone even higher after that.

How did they get these numbers and are they reliable?

That abortion industry reports show increases is significant (and troubling), but exactly how much they are really up and what this all means is still very much an open question.

Obviously, pro-lifers hoped that the fall of Roe would finally give pro-life states the opportunity to protect mothers and their unborn children from the horrors of abortion. And it seems that in many states, it has. In those states there has been not only a drop in numbers of abortions but also increases in birth rates. This is a clear indication that legal protections are having an effect and more women are choosing life for themselves and their children.

As expected, the abortion industry has redoubled its efforts. It has raised and spent millions to “help” women travel to clinics in abortion friendly states and ignored laws and safety concerns to ship abortion pills to many in pro-life states.

Guttmacher used to survey abortion providers directly. Often it took years to compile and complete its data, but it gave what most observers considered a fairly accurate estimate. It was on the basis of those estimates that pro–lifers saw abortions falling from the peak of 1.6 million a year in 1990 to less than a million a year in 2013 before turning up again in 2018.

But Guttmacher changed the way it collected data and created its estimates it after Dobbs. Because many abortion clinics closed, and a lot of abortionists moved or retired, Guttmacher chose to rely on a selected sample of “providers” and to use their reports to project numbers for the rest.

This might be acceptable if the situation after Dobbs had been similar to what it was before. In fact, though, circumstances were radically different after 2022, with so many abortionists getting out of the business or in new positions or locations.

With the “market” undergoing such major churning, determining which “providers” were representative and using the caseloads at major abortion mega-clinics (set up to handle heavy travel volume) to estimate for the rest of abortionists was statistically problematic, at best.

Overestimation by abortionists anxious to prove their continued viability is easy to imagine, which could result in the publishing of tallies higher than the actual number.

The presence of online chemical abortion merchants, which the Biden administration authorized before leaving office, who mailed pills to thousands in pro-life states, further complicated the counting.

Some groups like SFP have gotten reports from online abortion pill sellers such as Aid Access, or others, and used those to project the number of chemical abortions happening in pro-life states. Beyond the problem of trusting these groups’ self-serving sales statistics, there is the additional problem of conflating sales of abortion pills with use of abortion pills.

For example, a woman may order the pills but not use them, either changing her mind or simply storing them for future use (as many sellers have recommended). Or she may use them and they may not work, as we know is the case at least 2-7% of the time. Or she may use them and then try to reverse the process to save her baby.

These sales occur online and there is often little to no verification of identify, much less pregnancy. These pills may be going to a boyfriend trying to slip these into his girlfriend’s smoothie, as has already happened multiple times.

The point is, one cannot make an automatic one-to-one correspondence between the sale of abortion pills and occurrence of an abortion. Estimates generated this way are inherently flawed.

Saving lives is the bottom line

While you can’t get a precise number of abortions from Guttmacher, SFP, or even any of the government sources, you can learn a few things from this latest report.

First, after Dobbs, the abortion industry did not close up shop and disappear. They prepared for and adapted to the new circumstances. They built mega-clinics in abortion friendly states, trained former clinic employees to act as travel agents and stashed away millions in private abortion funds to help send women to other states.

Second, related to the first, they prepared for this day by developing chemical abortion and getting the government to authorize the mailing of abortion pills to women ordering these online. This development, added to women traveling out of state, has been responsible for abortion numbers remaining stable, or even increasing even in states trying to legally protect mothers and their children from abortion.

Though we consider these numbers exaggerated, and believe the evidence shows many lives saved by the new legal protections, pro-lifers still obviously still have a lot of work to be done in those states if we want to see abortion numbers there substantially drop again.

All of us understand that there are innocent lives, and not simply numbers, at stake."

Charlotte Priests Submit Dubia To Vatican Over Bishop Martin’s Ban On Altar Rails, Kneelers...

What church would ban altar rails and kneelers from the faithful when receiving the Holy Eucharist?

It can't be the Catholic Church, can it?

Well, in fact, in the diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina, "where over 30 priests have submitted questions to the Vatican regarding restrictions on liturgical practices issued by Bishop Michael Martin, including a ban on the use of altar rails and kneelers for Holy Communion."

So, it is a Catholic Church after all!

But the problem is that although the church is Catholic, the man running the diocese is anything but...

Whoever appoints these modernist monsters attempting to stomp out the faith of our fathers can, in no way, be Catholic either!

(Remember it was Pope SAINT Pius X that condemned modernism as the synthesis of all heresies.)

Now, over 30 priests from the diocese, are putting their reputations and their very jobs as preachers of the Gospel message, on the line.

I guess when you get sick and tired of the hate directed toward those faithful Catholics, then something has to give, and these priests have had enough.

Perhaps such actions will focus more attention on these modernist "bishops," and maybe, just maybe some good will come from this massive evil infecting the real Catholic Church!

So, from lifesitenews.com and written by Emily Mangiaracina Tue Jan 6, 2026 - 3:06 pm EST, comes this "shocking" story: Charlotte priests submit dubia to Vatican over Bishop Martin’s ban on altar rails, kneelers - LifeSite

"CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (LifeSiteNews) — Over 30 priests of the Diocese of Charlotte have submitted questions to the Vatican regarding restrictions on liturgical practices issued by Bishop Michael Martin, including a ban on the use of altar rails and kneelers for Holy Communion.

The dubia, signed by 31 priests who make up about a quarter of the clergy in the Diocese of Charlotte, was submitted to the Dicastery for Legislative Texts on January 5, according to The Pillar, which obtained the letter. Two-thirds of the signatories are reportedly pastors.

Bishop Martin’s recently issued “pastoral” instruction on Holy Communion prompted the dubia, the letter notes. This directive from Martin ordered that “The use of altar rails, kneelers, and prie-dieus are not to be utilized for the reception of Communion in public celebrations by January 16, 2026.” It also commanded churches to remove all “temporary or movable fixtures used for kneeling” for Holy Communion by January 16.

The dubia also references draft instruction from Bishop Martin leaked this past summer in which he condemns the use of Latin, priests praying before and after Mass, kneeling for Holy Communion, ornate vestments, and the use of any traditional acts of reverence by priests in cleansing the sacred vessels.

“Both the leaked letter from this past summer and the pastoral letter of December 17 have caused a great deal of concern amongst the priests and faithful of the Diocese of Charlotte, especially in those parishes that have allowed the faithful to use an altar rail or prie-dieu for the reception of Holy Communion,” said the letter accompanying the dubia.

The letter from the Charlotte priests asks the Vatican whether Bishop Martin can ban the use of altar rails where they are already being used by parishioners to receive Holy Communion.

It also questions “whether a diocesan bishop may prohibit the use of kneelers to assist members of the faithful who, of their own accord, wish to receive Holy Communion kneeling.”

Pointing out that the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM) expressly permits kneeling to receive Holy Communion, the letter asks, “As a pastoral provision, may a parochus or rector in charge of a church or oratory place a kneeler or kneelers to accommodate the latter option of those who, of their own accord, wish to receive Holy Communion while kneeling?”

The dubia additionally asks whether a bishop may prohibit the erection of altar rails and order the removal of those already in place. It points to the GIRM’s statement that the sanctuary “should be appropriately marked off from the body of the church either by its being somewhat elevated or by a particular structure and ornamentation.” (GIRM 295)

“Since an altar rail is a common and traditional ‘structure and ornamentation’ that marks off the sanctuary from the body of the church within the Roman Rite, it is asked whether a diocesan bishop has the legitimate authority to prohibit the erection of altar rails within churches or other sacred places in his diocese,” the Charlotte priests wrote in their dubia.

The letter also asks, in reference to Bishop Martin’s leaked draft instruction, whether a bishop may ban priests from wearing certain vestments which are not otherwise prohibited by Church law. In the document leaked this past summer, Martin forbade the use of birettas, crossed stoles, maniples, ornate albs, or Roman chasubles, since they “are seen and understood by the faithful as a clear sign of a priest celebrant who prefers the liturgical (and possibly theological) life of the Church prior to Vatican II given that these vestments have not been seen in most churches around the world since the 1960s.”

The priests therefore asked whether a bishop may prohibit liturgical “elements such as prayers, gestures, chants or ornaments on the grounds that such elements are commonly associated with the pre-Vatican II celebration of the Mass,” given that such traditional practices and vestments are supported by the General Instruction and Redemptionis Sacramentum.

Martin’s diocese-wide orders to abandon the use of altar rails and kneelers has stirred up a storm of controversy in part because they help the elderly and those with other physical impediments to receive Holy Communion while kneeling, and these orders will have the effect of forcing some people to receive the Eucharist while standing.

Liturgist Dr. Peter Kwasniewski recently affirmed that “even according to the rules that govern the Novus Ordo, there is absolutely no basis for a bishop to oppose the use or the construction of altar rails in churches.” He shared a catechesis on altar rails showing that they “have a basis in the historical and theological dimensions of the Mass, and may be utilized and even promoted, in light of recent legislation.”

While Martin has claimed that it is “absurd” to “instruct the faithful that kneeling is more reverent than standing,” he admitted in his pastoral letter that certain liturgical practices and “ritual elements” such as “music, vestments,” and “use of incense” can mark Masses with “greater reverence.” He noted this under the title “The Principle of Progressive Solemnity.”

Most importantly, Scripture itself highlights bending of the knee as a gesture of reverence proper to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

“That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth,” St. Paul wrote in the Letter to the Philippians (2:10).

As God Himself, the Eucharist deserves nothing less than a posture of profound reverence. Whereas the posture of kneeling is proper to worship of God Himself, standing is a posture one uses when interacting with an equal.

Furthermore, a recent study confirmed that traditional liturgical practices regarding the Eucharist, including the manner in which He is received, increase belief in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.

In fact, Dr. Natalie Lindemann, the author of the study, suggested reinstalling altar rails and offering kneelers during Holy Communion at churches to increase belief in the Real Presence."

What Was The Secret Service Doing? And How Did A Queer Get So Close To The Vice President's Home That He Broke Windows???

I am going to accuse the Secret Service, again, of failing in their duties to protect the highest officials of the land.

(Have we forgotten the two attempts on President Trump's life and other botched security failures of the S.S.?)

The following story is almost unbelievable, and I'll highlight in red the salient points of the S.S.'s incompetence.

From vornews.com and written by Leyna Wong: Trans Activist Vandalizes Vice President JD Vance’s Home Windows - VOR News

"WASHINGTON, D.C. – Just after midnight on January 5, a 26-year-old from Cincinnati’s Hyde Park area was arrested after police say the person used a hammer to break windows at Vice President JD Vance’s Cincinnati home.

Authorities accuse William DeFoor, who identifies as transgender and uses the name Julia DeFoor, of smashing four windows and causing major property damage. DeFoor was charged with felony vandalism, plus misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass, obstructing official business, and criminal damaging or endangering.

The damage happened at a home in East Walnut Hills that is described as a secondary residence for Vance, his wife, Usha, and their three young children. Secret Service agents assigned to protect the property reported hearing a loud noise, then seeing the suspect on the grounds.

According to arrest reports, the suspect broke four exterior windows and also struck a Secret Service vehicle parked in the driveway. After that, the suspect tried to run. Agents detained the individual quickly, and Cincinnati Police officers took custody and booked the suspect into the Hamilton County Justice Center. The Vance family was not home during the incident. They had traveled back to Washington, D.C., the day before, after spending the weekend in Ohio.

Vance addressed the case on social media, calling the suspect “a crazy person” who tried to get in by hammering the windows. He said he appreciated the fast response from the Secret Service and Cincinnati police. He also said he tries to shield his children from the downsides of public life, and questioned the value of sharing photos of the home showing broken windows.

Prior Pandemonium Before Attacking JD Vance’s Home

Court records show DeFoor has been tied to similar incidents in the past. In April 2024, the suspect pleaded guilty to two vandalism counts after causing more than $2,000 in damage to an interior design firm in Hyde Park.

That case was handled through the county’s mental health court program. DeFoor was ordered to complete two years of treatment and pay $5,550 in restitution. Records show treatment was still underway at the time of the latest arrest.

In 2023, a trespassing case tied to a psychiatric emergency services facility was dismissed after DeFoor was found incompetent to stand trial.

Investigators cited the prior record and concerns about repeat behavior when recommending a higher bond, according to court documents. DeFoor is set for arraignment in Hamilton County Municipal Court. Federal authorities are also reviewing whether additional charges could apply, including damaging government property and interfering with federal officers.

Parents Prominent Democrat Donors

DeFoor is listed as the eldest child of Dr. William R. DeFoor Jr., a pediatric urologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Catherine DeFoor, a general pediatrician. Both parents are registered Democrats and have a record of political donations.

Public records say Dr. William DeFoor Jr. gave more than $11,600 to Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign and related Democratic committees through ActBlue. The family lives in a $1.3 million home in Hyde Park, one of the city’s wealthiest neighborhoods, and the suspect attended private schools while growing up, according to the report.

Social media accounts linked to DeFoor show interest in transgender wellness resources, including likes tied to the Heartland Trans Wellness Center, a local group that supports transgender people. The family has not made a public statement about the arrest, and attempts to contact relatives did not succeed.

The vandalism comes as concerns about political violence aimed at public figures remain high. In recent years, attacks have targeted lawmakers’ homes, including the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in 2025 and the June 2025 killings of a Minnesota state legislator and her husband.

Vance has drawn criticism for his views on gender and family policy, and he has dealt with protests near his home before, including incidents that involved his young daughter.

Officials have not released a motive. Investigators are still working to determine whether the act was political, personal, or tied to other factors. Federal prosecutors and local law enforcement are coordinating as they decide whether the case will expand.

As the investigation continues, the incident highlights the security pressures that come with high-profile public service. Vance’s statement focused on keeping his children safe, and he urged restraint in sharing images of the home."
