Archdiocese Of New York To Pay $800+ Million To Settle 1.3k Abuse Allegations!!!!!

Well, it seems that the infiltration of what passes for the Catholic Church -- at least as the world sees it -- has been so complete and filled with communists, homosexuals, other perverts and Marxists, that they just couldn't keep their filthy hands off the innocent, and perpetrated the sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance, ruining the lives of literally thousands and thousands of young Catholics, including seminarians!

As a result, one of the largest payouts of monies to their sexual abuse victims has just been settled on and will start in early November to the tune of -- get this: $800,000,000 of your contributed money!!!

Are you happy???

In addition, more and more churches are being closed -- and sold off! -- in order to meet the money being shelled out, and also because of the "priest shortage," and an unreal decline in Mass attendance among the novus ordo parishes across the country!

Sure, there are exceptions to this rule, but the facts speak for themselves!

"NEW YORK CITY (LifeSiteNews) – The Archdiocese of New York has reached an agreement on a settlement first proposed in May to pay $800 million to 1,300 sexual abuse claims against church personnel.

Amid the priest abuse scandal of the past several years, credible allegations surfaced in 2018 that the late Cardinal Theodore McCarrick had sexually abused a minor in the 1970s, leading to his removal. That same year, accusations of mishandling priest sexual abuse claims prompted then-New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood to launch an investigation into the Archdiocese of New York and the other all seven dioceses within the state, eventually leading to settlements with some diocese while other investigations remain ongoing.

The scope of the claims has threatened to bankrupt the archdiocese, prompting Cardinal Timothy Dolan to announce in December 2025 that it would begin laying off staff, reducing its operating budget, and selling archdiocesan real estate to raise $300 million to compensate the more than 1,300 alleged victims.

In May 2026, Archbishop Ronald Hicks proposed a global settlement after several months of mediation with the Plaintiff’s Liaison Committee (PLC) and expressed optimism about the direction the process was going. Plaintiff attorneys Jeff Anderson and Trusha Goffe indicated in a letter emailed to their clients at the time that the amount of the settlement would be $800 million, paying at least $250,000 apiece to each alleged survivor.

On October 24, the New York Times reported that both sides have agreed to the settlement, confirming the $800 million total. It will be formally agreed to when all parties sign it in early November. Plaintiffs will reportedly have the option of either a $250,000 lump sum, or a potentially larger payout if they agree to wait for a more extensive review of their individual abuse claims.

“We are on the verge of being able to, please God, bring some measure of healing and reconciliation to all victim-survivors,” remarked Hicks, who said the resolution “will also allow the archdiocese to turn its full attention once again to its mission of preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, caring for the poor and needy, welcoming the stranger, and educating our children.”

“Should your parishioners ask you about the reports after Mass this evening or tomorrow, please let them know that much progress has been made, that a resolution to these cases is imminent, and that their prayers are still very much needed for all involved,” the archbishop also wrote over the weekend to priests concerned about the financial impact on their local operations. “You can assure them that life in your parish should continue uninterrupted.”

“Tonight, we were able to finalize the settlement with the Archdiocese,” Goffe told her clients in an email. “All of the survivors agreed to the revised deal. This means that the settlement you agreed to will move forward.”

The Catholic Church is still dealing with the fallout of the 2002 revelations that scores of church officials attempted to cover up decades’ worth of allegations of priests sexually abusing minors, which reignited with several state probes in 2018 after a Pennsylvania grand jury identified another 301 priests accused of hundreds of cases of abuse.
