"VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis will meet with prominent comedians, including pro-abortion Stephen Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jimmy Fallon, next Friday in an event that will also feature LGBT activist Jesuit ["]Fr.["] James Martin.

On Saturday, the Vatican announced the event will take place in the Apostolic Palace on June 14 at 8:30 a.m. The meeting “aims to establish a link between the Catholic Church & comic artists.”

The Vatican highlighted Francis’ words from a 2016 TV interview with the Catholic Italian channel TV2000 in its announcement. “A sense of humor is a grace that I ask for every day, and I pray that beautiful prayer of St. Thomas More: ‘Give me, Lord, a sense of humor,’ that I know how to laugh at a joke … it’s beautiful, that prayer, isn’t it?” he said. “It is a human attitude, but it is the closest to God’s grace.”

The event is co-organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education and the Dicastery for Communication.

The list of 105 comics from 15 countries includes well-known names from the U.S. entertainment industry, including Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg, Conan O’Brien, and Chris Rock. Heterodox Father Martin, who was formerly dubbed the “chaplain” of Stephen Colbert’s vulgar, left-wing “The Colbert Report” is also slated to attend and was listed as an “artist” by Vatican News.

Most of these prominent U.S. comedians are known to be pro-abortion and pro-LGBT. Colbert, a self-professed Catholic, strongly supports so-called homosexual “marriage” and abortion in clear violation of Catholic teaching, promoted a Netflix series that sexualized children, and has mocked Jesus. Whoopi Goldberg, with whom Francis already met in October 2023, also promotes abortion and LGBT ideology and claimed that killing babies in the womb is “not mentioned” in the Ten Commandments. In a comedy skit, Chris Rock admitted that abortion kills a baby, but said that he believes women “should have the right [sic] to kill babies.” Fallon has attacked pro-life policies on his late-night show.

Another U.S. “artist” invited to the Vatican event is Tig Notaro, a lesbian in a homosexual “marriage” who obtained twin sons with her “wife” through in vitro fertilization and surrogacy, which the Catholic Church condemns as gravely immoral. The Vatican also invited comedian Jim Gaffigan, who presents himself as a faithful Catholic but took his young children to New York’s LGBT “pride parade” in 2017.

Francis has signaled his support of ["]Fr.["] Martin in many ways despite the latter’s promotion of homosexuality, most recently by writing the preface to Martin’s latest book. The pope also appointed and reappointed him as a Vatican Communications consultant and met with Martin multiple times, praising his pro-LGBT initiatives.

Martin has called for the term “objectively disordered” in reference to the homosexual inclination to be removed from The Catechism of the Catholic Church and replaced with “differently ordered” as part of his push to normalize homosexuality. He frequently makes scandalous statements regarding homosexuality that violate Catholic teaching on sexual morality. Catholic prelates and other figures warn that Martin is leading people astray and putting souls at risk by encouraging homosexual activity and failing to call people to be chaste.

"VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Just days after reportedly complaining about too much “f–ggotry” in Catholic seminaries, Pope Francis welcomed gender-confused persons led by an LGBT activist nun at his weekly audience at the Vatican this week.

Vatican News reports that on Wednesday, June 5, pro-LGBT Sr. Geneviève Jeanningros led a contingent of self-professed homosexuals, “transsexuals,” and others from Torvaianica, a seaside town south-west of Rome infamous for its prostitution and drug trade.

Francis met with the group “for a few minutes” and gave a rosary to a person identified as “Ada,” which he said was “a gift from the Pope,” before giving a blessing, the outlet related.

LifeSite’s Michael Haynes has reported that members of the group make monthly trips to Francis’ weekly general audiences, at which they are given seats of honor in the front row. 

Wednesday’s meeting was not the first time Francis has welcomed the Torvaianica cohort, which counts the Blessed Immaculate Virgin Church as its home base.  

In 2021 on Holy Saturday, Francis invited nearly 50 “transgender” members of the group to receive the COVID shot at the Vatican. Francis directed Vatican employees not to question them about their sex.  

“Ask for their names, ask for anything they need, but do not ask them about their sex,” said the pope, according to Juan Carlos Cruz, an openly homosexual man and friend of Francis appointed by the pope to the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors.

In November 2023, Francis welcomed the group and their parish priest, Father Andrea Conocchia, to a Vatican-hosted lunch for the poor and sat opposite a “transgender” former prostitute.  

The 50-strong group included three men living as “women”: “Carla” Segovia and “Claudia” Vittoria Salas from Argentina, along with “Andrea” Paola Torres Lopez from Colombia. Salas was given a place directly opposite Pope Francis during the lunch.  

According to a 2022 report on the transgender group in Torvaianica, Salas “transitioned” to appear like a 11-year-old girl. He is now 55.  

Jeanningros, 81, was praised by Vatican News as being an “icon” among those who minister to so-called “LGBTQ+ communities.” 

“We are all human people, you can’t have a closed judgment,” Jeanningros told the website, which related that she plans on bringing seven homosexuals to next week’s general audience.  

Pro-LGBT Jesuit priest James Martin’s heterodox Outreach website published an article in January 2023 heaping praise on Jeanningros, who is French, as well. An article titled, “Pope Francis has met regularly with transgender Catholics [sic] at general audiences,” quoted her as saying “the Pope wants to meet everyone.”

In contrast to Francis’ affirmation of the gender-confused group’s lifestyle, Catholic teaching on sexual and gender issues remains unchangeable. The Catechism states: “Everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his sexual identity. Physical, moral, and spiritual difference and complementarity are oriented toward the goods of marriage and the flourishing of family life.” (CCC 2333)

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s 1975 document, Persona Humana, likewise states: “There can be no true promotion of man’s dignity unless the essential order of his nature is respected.” 

More recently, Cardinal Raymond Burke and Bishop Athanasius Schneider, together with several other bishops, wrote in their 2019 “Declaration of Truths” that “gender reassignment” surgery is a “grave sin” and a “rebellion” against divine and natural law."

"SACRAMENTO, California (LifeSiteNews) — Homosexual California Democratic state Senator Scott Wiener stated unequivocally that children in foster care who are suffering from homosexual and transgender thoughts and urges don’t belong to their parents: “These are our children,” he said, referring to members of the so-called “LGBT community.” 

It quickly became apparent that his designs are not limited solely to foster care children.  

 Speaking at a “Pride Month” kickoff in San Francisco, Wiener also said that parents who want to maintain their parental rights are “nasty people.”  

“We know that so much of the hate directed at our community is happening in other states. Unfortunately it’s here in California too,” claimed Wiener, attacking school boards “in very conservative areas” and suggesting that upholding the two sexes and parents’ rights is “hate.”

Wiener referred to a recently proposed law in the state legislature known as Assembly Bill (AB) 1955 that threatens to exclude parents from critical aspects of their children’s lives and development, as California Family Council (CFC) has warned.

The measure would prohibit schools from implementing policies requiring parental notification regarding their child’s gender issues without the student’s consent.   

As written, the bill “marginalizes parents, preventing them from receiving critical information about their children,” said CFC. “Parents need to be informed partners in addressing issues of gender identity, ensuring their children receive the support and guidance they need within the family unit.”  

Wiener flatly condemned the idea that parents’ rights should trump the interests of pro-LGBT teachers and other school staff members. School employees, according to Wiener, should not be required to inform parents when their children “come out” and attempt to live a transgender or homosexual “identity” at school.   

That’s “no one else’s d–mn business,” declared Wiener, “and we’re going to make that clear in the law of the state of California.”

Wiener’s troubling statements express a once mostly-whispered Marxist scheme to untether kids from their parent’s loving protection, a dangerous notion that is now shamelessly demanded in Democrat-led school systems, legislatures, courts, governmental agencies, and activist groups.   

Wiener’s words echo the enormously controversial song popularly known as “We’ll convert your children, we’re coming for them,” performed by the Gay Men’s Chorus of San Francisco in 2021.

There’s really no escaping it.

Wiener boasted that “10 percent of the California legislature is now LGBTQ. Twelve out of 120,” and that they are united behind AB 1955.    

“We said ‘not on our watch,’” Wiener proudly recounted. “We introduced legislation to ban these forced outing policies [that] some school boards are starting to adopt.”

Wiener and the others who comprise the state’s LGBTQ legislative caucus have come up against parents who reject the law’s undermining of parent-child relationships.

During a hearing last week, after Assemblyman Chris Ward introduced AB 1955, several testimonies highlighted the severe implications of this bill.   

Aurora Regino, a mother currently suing the Chico Unified School District, shared her harrowing experience:  

My daughter was influenced by her school to believe that her sadness was because she was really a boy. When she told a school counselor that she felt this way, the counselor did not tell me. Instead, without contacting me, the counselor and my daughter’s teacher arranged for the entire school to begin using a male name that my daughter had picked out and referred to her with the male pronouns. The school cemented and encouraged this male identity for my daughter behind my back.

Dr. Arthur de Lorimier, health sciences clinical professor, pediatric gastroenterology at UC Davis Health, said:  

Parents must be involved in their gender dysphoric children at the inception of the adoption of a new identity. Schools should not conduct psychological interventions without parental consent. Children’s parents play the most vital role in the physical and mental wellness of their children. Gender dysphoric youth are at greater risk of suicide than their peers from the distress of the dysphoria, not from being unaffirmed.

Attorney Erin Friday also emphasized the risks, noting, “Parents are the only ones able to keep their children safe.” She added that it “erodes trust and safety within the family unit” for schools to encourage children to deceive to parents about their gender issues. 

“Mothers and fathers should never be excluded from their vital role of directing the care and education of their children,” said Jonathan Keller, president of California Family Council. “AB 1955 marginalizes parents and prevents them from being informed partners in addressing issues of gender identity, which is essential for the well-being of their sons and daughters.”

Bishop Joseph Strickland's Words Of Wisdom, A Sacred Pause: A Warning -- And Hope!

Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support his work. Pledge your support There is a storm coming – the likes of which has never been seen upon the Earth. The Church, the Bride of Christ, has weathered quite a few squalls and gales, and although many of these have left the ship damaged at times and taking on water, each time the Master shipbuilder has restored her – polishing the wood and making her seaworthy once more.  And those on the ship, although tattered and weary, have often been blessed and healed by Our Blessed Mother who walks among her children. So, what is different about this storm that is now coming?  It is the fact that this time the ship itself is in such a weakened state from the hidden sins and corruption within its sacred halls that it has already started to take on water, and it is ill-equipped to weather the storm that is coming. So as evil reaches a previously unseen level of saturation in the Church and in the world, the ship is already so compromised by sin and corruption that it is in danger of capsizing. As St. John Bosco reminds us, there are two pillars that have served to keep the ship upright through the ages, and these are the Eucharistic presence of Our Lord and devotion to Our Blessed Mother.  However, the ship is not now so firmly anchored to these pillars as it has been in the past. The lack of supernatural faith has weakened its ties to the Eucharistic pillar, and the indifference to Our Blessed Mother and the disregarding of her warnings and admonitions, as well as a refusal to acknowledge the words she still brings, have weakened the ties to the other pillar. Therefore, the storm that now comes brings unprecedented danger. Many will say – “Why worry? The Master shipbuilder will once again restore His Bride.”  However, the time is now upon us when we begin to receive the fruits of what we have sown – and the cord of Mercy which has long been extended from Heaven to Earth is even now being replaced by the rope of justice. As the evil in the world accelerates, steadily advancing, unrelenting in its seemingly victorious march, and as every day we hear about new abuses, new scandals, new heresies within the sacred halls of the Church, where does that leave us? Terrified? Dismayed? Wait! Listen! Be still! For even as the din of the demons becomes deafening, underneath the wailing and the gnashing and the clashing, there can be found a profound silence – a sacred pause.  And in this profound silence that forms a barrier between your soul and the world, you will hear a sound if you listen closely – it is a heartbeat! It is the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Evil marches relentlessly forward – and every day new atrocities come to light – and the faithful shudder and wonder if it can get any worse.  The answer is – it can, and it will. But underneath it all, in the profound silence of the Sacred Pause, you can hear a sound if you will only listen – the heartbeat of His Sacred Heart. The heart of Jesus began to beat the rhythm of love in His infant chest only days after He was conceived in Mary’s womb. His heart, human and divine, continued to beat throughout His life in this world. For thirty-three years, His heart proclaimed love with every beat until the awful moment of His death on the cross. Scripture tells us that at His death the Earth was shaken to its depths because the Lord of creation breathed no more. All of creation entered into a “sacred pause” when literally the breath of the universe was taken away. This, though, was only a pause – devastating but passing. The Lord of all rose, and His heart began to beat anew. His heart has not stopped since the moment of His resurrection when His heart began to beat again with a vigor like never before, the beating of the heart of Our Risen Lord who has conquered sin and death. Twenty centuries have passed, and through it all, His heart beats on. Yes, there is a storm coming, the likes of which has never been seen upon the Earth. However, as it increases in intensity, if you feel overwhelmed – just stop, pause – and enter into a Sacred Pause.  St. Margaret Mary Alacoque said, “I understand that the devotion of the Sacred Heart is a last effort of His Love towards the Christians of these latter days, by offering to them an object and means so calculated to persuade them to love Him.” The coming days bring things which we could never have imagined would take place in the Lord’s Church, but do not despair! Stop – pause – there is a sound – it is His heartbeat.  Let us ponder His Sacred Heart. All of the chaos of the past and the increasing chaos of our time will never overcome the sacred heartbeat that emanates from the heart of Christ.  The heart of God’s Son brings us a message that echoes through the ages: “be still and know that I am God.”  As we go forward into June, the month of the Sacred Heart, I feel a powerful urgency to call us all deeper into the Sacred Heart of Christ. Psalm 33 speaks of the designs of God’s heart and reminds us that His love is everlasting. It is profoundly important as the storm gathers momentum that we all draw closer and closer to His Sacred Heart, and that we know the heart of Christ which is truly and fully present in the Eucharist. So many Eucharistic miracles throughout the ages point to the incarnate flesh of the heart of Our Lord. Even now, His Sacred Heart bleeds for us in order to draw us closer to His Eucharistic Face.  Let us not be blind and deaf to the wonder of Jesus Christ truly present at every Mass, in every tabernacle and on every altar of Eucharistic adoration. This month, may we begin to enter into our own “Sacred Pause” and, as we hear the heartbeat of His Sacred Heart, let us drink in the tremendous blessing of knowing that Jesus Christ is with us in the storm. Did We Forget?? June 6, 1944: D-Day And The Beginning Of The End Of Hitler's Third Reich...

 Did we?  Did we forget that June 6, 1944, was the beginning of the end of Hitler's Third Reich?

I wonder how many Americans even care about this fate-filled day, where so many young American soldiers, sailors, Coast Guardsmen, airmen and Marines made the ultimate sacrifice to kick the Nazis out of France -- and end their near-total domination of the European continent?

It should be noted that the current installed miscreant in the White House, the apostate, traitor, Biden, tried to prevent a religious ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary, a ceremony that had been on-going for many years prior to the Marxist in the Oval Office.

Thank goodness that this enemy of the American people had to eat crow because the court upheld the First Amendment right to freedom of religion and the ceremony to honor the fallen came to fruition!

It is sad that the hard left in this country hate -- hate! -- anything that smacks of love of country and making that love of country manifest by fighting and dying for the freedoms of our country and our European friends and freeing them from the yoke of the brutal Nazis, especially the crazy Hitler once and for all.

So, regardless of one's beliefs, please remember and say a prayer for those many men whose last day on this earth was June 6, 1944: D-Day...
