"A devout Catholic couple in Massachusetts said the state took custody of their teenage daughter after they refused to affirm her as a boy.

Joseph and Arlene Kutzko said they have been fighting in court for nearly two years after their minor teen daughter Sophie was taken away from them because they would not recognize the child as a boy.

In December 2024, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) took Sophie away and is now beginning the process of medically transitioning her with testosterone.

The distraught parents alleged that the counselors at Algonquin Regional High School secretly began the process of socially transitioning their daughter without their permission.

A restraining order was lodged against the parents with allegations of abuse.

The DCF put the teen girl in a boys’ dormitory, put her on psychiatric drugs, and gave her birth control.

The couple has not spoken to their daughter Sophie, who is now 17 years old, in nearly two years.

It is a family’s worst nightmare. Devout Catholic parents are fighting in court to regain custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Sophie, and stop Massachusetts authorities from medically transitioning her with high-dose testosterone.

In December 2024, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) removed the then 15-year-old from her home because her parents, Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, would not recognize their daughter as a boy due to their faith–an identity change they allege staff at Algonquin Regional High School initiated in secret.

Although physical abuse claims against Joseph were deemed unfounded, a permanent restraining order was issued against the family, and DCF cut off contact after the Kutzkos would not call Sophie by a male name or pronouns.

 Appearing on the Lighthouse Faith podcast alongside attorney Vernadette Broyles, the devastated parents exposed how DCF has housed their daughter in a boys’ dormitory, stripped away her Catholic faith by denying her Sunday Mass, and put her on birth control and psychiatric drugs.

As the family fights DCF’s court attempt to administer testosterone and demands a full psychological evaluation for Sophie, Broyles is pushing Congress to ensure no loving parent’s refusal to transition a child is ever branded as “child abuse.”

Heartbreaking video shows Sophie’s mother fighting through tears as she begged her daughter to come back home.

“Please come home! Mama miss you! Please! I’m begging you! Please!” the mother said through tears.

Christ did not found a debating society whose final achievement would be its own disappearance.

He founded a Church.

And if the men claiming to govern that Church increasingly speak as though its mission is to dissolve itself into the universal fraternity of mankind, Catholics are entitled to ask a question far more serious than whether one quotation was awkwardly phrased.

Who taught them this religion?

And where, exactly, did ours go?"...

God Is In Control, Not Man! My Two Cents...

 Angry about what is going on in the ecclesiastical world?

I am...

With all the scandals, errors, heresies, confusion, ambiguities emanating from Rome, and the Vatican, it is easy to feel betrayed, despaired and downright disgusted with the synodal folks hell-bent on transforming the true Catholic Church into something unrecognizable; a man-made entity that is devoid of the Holy Ghost and Sanctifying grace so necessary for the life of the soul and eternal salvation.

With that being said, it is imperative that we don't let that righteous anger turn into an all-consuming state of mind and soul.

I know that I fall into that trap sometimes; it is easy to do...   

So, what can we do and what will be the eventual outcome of this massive crisis that practicing Catholics face?

First of all, pray, especially for the conversion of all the hierarchy and for strength and honor!

Second, attempt to improve and increase your own holiness and sanctification and that of your family's, first...

The rest is and should be left up to Our Blessed Lord and Savior!

We are told that in the end, that Our Blessed Mother will crush the head of the demon with her heal!

What a wonderful thought and event to look forward to!

When that will happen is anyone's guess, even though folks speculate about that with each passing day... 

But not to worry -- too much, that is -- God Is In Control, Not Man!

History is repeating itself, this time, at a "Catholic" "Mass" in Brazil...

Is anyone really and truly surprised at this?

Please keep in mind, that these miscreant/heretics will not be declared to be in schism, nor will they be excommunicated by the synodal hierarchy who, for all practical purposes, have lost the Catholic Faith of our Fathers, that is, if they ever believed it the first place.

The present cabal of anti-Christs currently holding the Vatican hostage since at least 2013, continue to rear their ugly heads, not once, but time after time after time...

"(LifeSiteNews) — A heterodox creed recited during the annual “Cry of the Excluded” Mass celebrated by Bishop José Valdeci Santos Mendes of Brejo, Maranhão, Brazil, last week, which featured leftist language, included a reference to a “God/Goddess.”

As first reported by EWTN News, during the September 7 Mass (the video for which has since been deleted from YouTube), the “Creed of the Ecclesial Base Communities” included a section emphasizing belief in a “God/Goddess” who is “revolutionary” and does not punish. The heterodox creed also rejects the Church’s hierarchy and affirms open borders and “sexual diversity.”

“We do not believe in a punishing God who inflicts poverty upon His people. WE BELIEVE in a God/Goddess who is present in the diverse experiences of communities: a God who is close to us, a liberating and revolutionary God, a God who is a member of the CEBs, who works and struggles like Jesus of Nazareth,” part of the creed states.

Full text of the creed:

We do not believe that we have to wait. WE BELIEVE that we, as young people, are agents of change who transform reality, fighting for spaces and building alternatives.

We do not believe in borders. WE BELIEVE that we are daughters and sons of a Great Homeland free of racism, free of rules governing love, embracing all sexual diversity, women, youth, Indigenous peoples, Black people, minorities, and all those at the bottom.

We do not believe in a static, patriarchal, clerical, and hierarchical Church. WE BELIEVE in an inclusive, intergenerational community with its own voice. We believe in this Church in struggle, “casting its lot with the poor of the earth,” in the face of a dominant capitalist system.

We do not believe in individualism, saviors, dictators, or coup plotters. WE BELIEVE in the communal and collective building of struggles within the current context unfolding in Our America today.

We do not believe in a punishing God who inflicts poverty upon His people. WE BELIEVE in a God/Goddess who is present in the diverse experiences of communities: a God who is close to us, a liberating and revolutionary God, a God who is a member of the CEBs, who works and struggles like Jesus of Nazareth.

The Catholic Church teaches that there is one God, not a female “Goddess.” Indeed, contrary to what feminists suggest when they erroneously argue that God is female, as stated in the Catechism, God, being pure spirit, is “neither man nor woman; he is God.”

The creed’s reference to “sexual diversity” appears to be a reference to same-sex “marriage.”

The Catholic Church teaches that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered” and “contrary to the natural law” and that the homosexual inclination is “objectively disordered.” The Catechism is very clear that homosexual activity can never be approved and repeats that “(h)omosexual persons are called to chastity.”  Homosexual acts are mortal sins; therefore, anyone who commits these sins and does not repent through the sacrament of confession is in danger of hell.

The heretical Creed was part of a suggested liturgy outline for Masses, worship services, and public gatherings to mark the 32nd annual “Cry of the Excluded” movement’s mobilization efforts across the country, coinciding with Brazil’s Independence Day.

These events are meant to serve “as a counterpoint to the official narrative of Brazil’s independence,” contrasting “the civic and military parades” that typically  mark the holiday and call on the people, especially the poor and “the excluded,” to “step down from the bleachers, leave passive patriotism behind, and take to the squares and streets to defend their rights.”

The slogan for the group’s 2026 demonstrations is “In defense of the land, peace, and housing, we raise our voices: Women alive and sovereignty!” Part of the agenda for this year includes fighting so-called “LGBTphobia,” “femicide,” and racism.

The Church in Brazil, as in several South American countries, has seen its churches infested with leftist ideology and even pagan idolatry in recent years.

Back in 2023, a statue of the Pachamama made an appearance at a Mass for the Regional Assemblies of Latin America and the Caribbean, concelebrated by several bishops during the continental-stage meetings of the Synod on Synodality.

A more recent scandal occurred in March 2026, when Bishop Arnaldo Carvalheiro Neto of the Diocese of Jundiaí hosted “LGBT+ Catholic groups” from São Paulo, associated with the heretical Global Network of Rainbow Catholics (GNRC) in his home."
