Looking into the "way back machine," I have to admit that I was a pretty naive (Catholic) kid when I wrote my term paper on Rev. Dr. King, as a high school junior in 1963.
One of the reasons I decided to write my term paper on King, is that he, for the most part, led non-violent demonstrations in order to achieve some measure of equality of rights for the black American population.
In addition, while serving time in a Birmingham (Alabama) jail he wrote about the tenets of what constitutes a just law and an unjust law, quoting St. Thomas Acquinas and St. Augustine, even though King was a Baptist minister! The result was the oft quoted "famous" Letter From a Birmingham Jail. In that letter, King rightly explains our duty -- our right! -- to disobey an unjust law, if that man-made law violates the Natural Law.
The irony, I am about to show, is that King fully supported Margaret Sanger's eugenics "Negro Project" which violated that very same Natural Law!

King had been recommended to join the committee by the accomplished and influential Morehouse University sociology professor Walter R. Chivers, who had twice written to his former student (October & November), asking him to become a member. For his part, Chivers had volunteered with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America for sixteen years and vouched for the organization’s “integrity, honesty, and complete lack of racial prejudice.”

"Our sure beginning in the struggle for equality by nonviolent direct action may not have been so resolute without the tradition established by Margaret Sanger and people like her. Negroes have no mere academic nor ordinary interest in family planning. They have a special and urgent concern."
"...I do not think it is correct to argue that birth control is sinful. It is a serious mistake to suppose that it is a religious act to allow nature to have its way in the sex life. The truth is that the natural order is given us, not as an absolute finality, but as something to be guided and controlled. In the case of birth control the real question at issue is that between rational control and resort to chance. Another thing that must be said is that changes in social and economic conditions make smaller families desirable, if not necessary."

Alveda King, Rev. King's niece, is, ironically, very pro-life and condemns the slaughter of black pre-born babies.
Another point... The number one cause of death -- worldwide -- was abortion, with over 44,000,000 (MILLION!) babies killed!

One last point... I can't for the life of me figure out why black "leaders" want to exterminate their own race??? The only conclusion I can come to is that the intellects of such folks are completely possessed by the hater of life, Satan. If anyone has anther explanation, I'm willing to listen...
