These political animals don't even try to hide their intentions. They are in-your-face and determined to undermine the right of a country to defend and protect its citizens from a mass, illegal alien invasion that let in so many millions under the apostate, traitor, Biden, and his cabal of Marxists.
Back then, the demonrats were all in favor of that invasion, and the USCCB and their lackeys in the media were hell-bent on getting as many illegals as possible to enter and escape into various parts of the country, essentially to vote demonrat and cause havoc and strain on social services, welfare, medicaid, hospitals, etc., sucking uncountable billions of taxpayer dollars from the working class.
It is also a known fact, the various NGOs were receiving billions of taxpayer dollars to support the invasion, transport and "resettle" the invaders, and now President Trump has been enormously successful in getting millions of illegals out of the country, especially the gangster and killing class that have murdered, in the most heinous of ways, innocent American girls and women!
I almost failed to mention that the so-called USCCB received millions of taxpayer dollars over those Biden years, and now they're screaming bloody murder since Pres. Trump has turned off the money spigot!
So now, the always-heretic, make-believe cardinal, McElroy, has opened his big mouth once again...

"(LifeSiteNews) —["]Cardinal["] Robert McElroy, the heterodox archbishop of Washington, D.C., took the opportunity during a homily for an archdiocesan Mass commemorating the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees to criticize the Trump administration’s immigration policies indirectly.
During a homily for the September 27 Mass, McElroy, who is notorious for his heterodoxy on homosexuality and other moral issues, cited Scripture teaching the faithful to welcome the foreigner while largely ignoring the Church’s full teaching on immigration. The cardinal then subtly criticized and repeated several leftist talking points, exaggerating the impact of the Trump administration’s policies to crack down on illegal immigration, which he claimed makes “Jesus weep” and have led to our “losing our soul as a nation.”
“For the last year and a half, the people of the United States have witnessed the suffering of the undocumented in our midst, purposely and strategically magnified by our government, and for the most part, we have simply passed on by,” McElroy said.
“At the beginning of 2025, when we were told that ICE enforcement efforts would be confined to securing the border and deporting those who had committed serious crimes, we told ourselves that this is acceptable. After all, Catholic teaching itself says that a nation has a right to secure its borders and deport serious criminals among the undocumented in our midst,” the prelate continued.

“But then we witnessed the indiscriminate raids on farmworkers and Home Depot parking lots, nursing homes and schools, and we recognized that this was a war on every undocumented immigrant in our land, including those who had been here for decades and contributed enormously to the economy and culture of our nation.”
McElroy continued:
Jesus weeps all across our nation for the children who have been arrested, detained, transported to far-off centers with terrible living conditions, and cut off from their families.
For us as a nation, we can pass by no more. We must stop, recognize the evil that is being carried out in our name, and fight every dimension of it. We must seek to convert our political representatives from tolerating this evil or replace them. We must shed our identities as priests and Levites and become like the Good Samaritan who recognized no boundaries in rescuing the victim by the side of the road. We must recognize that in abandoning the words of Deuteronomy and the Statue of Liberty, we are losing our soul as a nation.
While Catholic social teaching indeed affirms that immigrants should be treated with dignity and respect, it also notes that a country has a right to secure its borders. In the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB’s) “Catholic Social Teaching on Immigration and the Movement of Peoples,” the conference clearly states that countries have no obligation to accept everyone who wishes to enter.
McElroy’s homily also notably failed to make any distinction between legal and illegal immigrants.
Since President Trump began his second term in 2025, McElroy and several prominent bishops, along with Popes Francis and Leo XIV, have slammed the administration’s immigration policies. Perhaps most notably, during the USCCB’s 2025 plenary assembly last fall, for the first time in 12 years it published a “Special Message” criticizing the policies specifically and the so-called “vilification” of immigrants.
Days later, Pope Leo expressed support for the USCCB’s statement and took the opportunity to criticize the Trump administration indirectly.

“No one has said that the United States should have open borders. I think every country has a right to determine who, and how, and when people enter,” the American pontiff said at the time. “But when people are living good lives — and many of them for 10, 15, 20 years — to treat them in a way that is extremely disrespectful, to say the least, and there’s been some violence unfortunately.”
In their statements, the USCCB and Pope Leo notably omitted any mention of the thousands of migrants who have been killed, gone missing, or become the victims of sex trafficking along immigration routes as a result of policies favoring mass migration.
On the other hand, several other Catholic prelates have criticized mass migration into the West. In a recently resurfaced clip from 2025, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, noting the mass influx of Muslim migrants into Europe, emphasized that many of these people are not refugees and that the “mass Islamization” of Europe is part of a plot by the “powerful” to destroy Christianity in Europe.
“Now we are witnessing an invasion. They are not refugees – no – this is an invasion of the mass Islamization of Europe,” Schneider said in the clip. “And so this is a global political agenda by the powerful of the world: to destroy Europe culturally and religiously – to destroy Christianity ultimately in Europe.”'
