How will they "get closer to God"? By blessing their un-natural "union"??

What "faith journey"? What does that mean, exactly? Does that mean that such sodomites can continue in their filthy "union" without the call for conversion, repentance and a firm purpose of amendment not to commit that heinous sin again??

“When a couple comes forward spontaneously to ask for them, one does not bless the union, but simply the people who together have requested it. Not the union, but the persons,” Francis said.
Please explain to me how a priest can bless the couple but not the "union"???? More verbal gymnastics!
Francis noted priests should “naturally take into account the context, the sensitivities, the places where one lives and the most appropriate ways to do it,” when giving blessings.
