That's bad enough, I know, but here are the year-to-date statistics on the murder and mayhem that plagues the once-great city of Chicago, from heyjackass.com (the name of the website may sound a little off-color, but their reporting of the ongoing scourge of murder and mayhem are accurate and corroborated by the local newspapers and TV news outlets)...
(Numbers, statistics, it has to be remembered, are people whose lives and their families have been devastated by death and wounds suffered at the hands of gangs and drug lords who continue to get away with murder -- literally! -- through the incompetence and malfeasance of one Mayor Lightfoot, who, for some inexplicable reason still remains in office!)
Year to date (remember, this is only the month of June!): shot and killed, 276; shot and wounded, 1,196; total shot, 1,472; total homicides, 303!
(One person is shot every 2 hours and 47 minutes; one person is murdered every 13 hours and 45 minutes!)
You can examine the horrendous details for yourself, here: Chicago Crime, Murder & Mayhem | Criminal Infographics | HeyJackass! | Illustrating Chicago Values.
I ask again: how can Lightfoot retain the office of mayor year after year, while the City of Chicago suffers the murder, pain and mayhem of the citizens that are entrusted to her???
Remember, too, that it is these same radical liberals who want to defund the police, while, at the same time ensure that they have massive private security to protect themselves, their families and their homes from the very same criminal elements that seem to roam the neighborhoods, killing and maiming with little accountability or arrest and prosecution!
What this all boils down to, is this simple truth: without Christ, there is chaos!
Pray for strength and honor!
